Do you enjoy history? What about a haunted history? Now, if you said yes to both, then I sure do have a fun adventure for you. You see, If I were to have a haunted house, I'd be named Raven's Mansion. It'd have a whole story behind it, about a girl named Raven. It'd have multiple rooms dedicated to what Raven and her family, also her bedroom. Everything would have a meaning. Besides the bathroom's, of course. My haunted house actually ended up on the news! Guests can embark on a fun journey through "history" but little do they know, not only Raven, but her whole family decided to come along too.
To start it off, where could you find this haunted house? What does it look like? Well, I'm glad you asked. As you walk through the sandy fairgrounds, with your family, you may spot a large black house. There are only two vivid signs that it is Raven's Mansion. For one, it will have a bunch of ravens surrounding it. Second, you will find that your entrance is a bright blue shade, brighter than the sky. You will find most small things as a bright shade of blue, such as the chimney. It's good to be observant. Oh, and of course it'll look like a mansion, just a tad bit smaller. If you checked off both of these signs, then congratulations! You made it.
Now that you've made it, you peek inside the windows, or perhaps the already opened door. You see the pitch black darkness, only the small lamp on the side illuminating the entrance to a room. You may be wondering what else lies in the dark, or you may just run off in fear. So, you ponder your options, thinking to yourself. What to do now? I suggest you enter. Once you enter, you'll find the lamp, illuminating a room. You open the creaky door, and find an empty candle lit room. All the walls are printed with old yellow, dirty wallpaper, looking Victorian. The first thing you'll see is a bunch of black writing in cursive. It states: "If you are reading this, then welcome to Raven's Mansion. This mansion does indeed belong to Raven. You may be wondering: who is Raven? Raven, is the little girl who passed in this house, and soon enough, the rest of her family did as well. Raven was a seven year old girl who loved to boast about her riches. You'd usually see her in a blue dress, a black bow in her hair. Her curls, always a rich brown color. She came down with a disease. It was terrible and her whole family was devastated. A few days later, her mother died, mysteriously. Soon enough, the rest of the family members in the household passed away, all from mysterious causes. Some pass by and say it was all a myth. Others say they still see her inside. If you wish to discover the truth, then I grant you permission to explore the house." At the end of it, you will see an arrow pointing towards the candle. If you're brave enough, you pick it up, and you exit the room, finding your entrance already shut. Let the journey begin!
As you search through the house, you may find yourself sweating, or breathing a little heavier than before, the pitch black darkness surrounding you, the light from the candle only lighting up one path, which happens to be forward. If you feel you may get lost, don't worry. Throughout your journey, there will be not only the candle, shining down on the dusty brown dreamy floor, but there will also be wooden arrows, pointing and directing you in the correct area. You will find that the house has the same wallpaper throughout the halls and kitchen, with the same chilly cold sharp wind soaring through, but whenever you happen to enter an important room, such as a bedroom or maybe a room where a family member was found dead, then you will notice a difference. The difference will vary. Maybe the wallpaper will change, or the temperature may even change. Each and every time you do happen to enter one of these special rooms, you will find more black cursive on one of the walls. The cursive only explains more history and detail behind what had happened in the area, if you wish to know of course. If you don't happen to want to read it, there will be no difference in your journey. But honestly, you didn't think that was all to it, right? If you thought this was just a peaceful history journey, then you were sadly mistaken.
Well, if you made it to the end of the haunted house, then you made it to the plot twist. As you reach the end, entering your last room, you will find it to be Raven's room. You will open the door, and you may step on a toy or two. I advise you to watch your step and to not step on her toys. This will anger her. Don't forget, she is still present in the room, meaning all of the items you may think are old—such as the toys, or even the bed—are still being used. The walls are black with a blue design you don't recognize. Her furniture is fancy, some may say it's exquisite. As you look around, watching your step, you will spot a note nearby, on her bed. As you pick it up and read it, the note states: "Raven's are black, my dresses are blue. This is a clue that has been waiting for you. On the top, solid and flat, lies a key, dolled up in black. Use this key to find just what you seek, it's locked up and closed, secret with a code." As you finish reading, you may search around the room. As your eyes land on the dresser, where sure enough, on the top that just so happens to be solid and flat, there lies a key, that is fancy and black. You pick it up, taking the note with you. You exit the room with both in one hand, your candle that just so happens to be melting low in the other hand. You're looking around, the house pitch black. As you search the rooms, you find one room that has kept to itself, hiding in the shadows. You approach it, in an attempt to open it, only to find it locked. Assuming the key would fit, you reach out and place it in the keyhole, twisting it. With one click, you push it open slightly to find that it opened. As you enter the dark room, the only thing that lies there is one singular music box, sitting above a crooked table. You take a step forward, finding the floor creaking a lot more than usual in this area, and you reach out, opening the music box. Suddenly, a soft melody will fill your ears. It must feel nice to finally hear something after all the silence, right? This is a nice moment, the sweet melody filling your ears. Although, as it comes to an end, you placed it back down, the floor creaking again. But suddenly you realize that it wasn't you who moved. As the door slams shut you turn around, meeting with a pair of eyes that weren't yours. Sooner or later, from outside the mansion, your family may just leave without you, but not to worry, they'll be with you, just sooner or later. Did I forget to mention why my house was on the news? Silly me! Police have noticed recent disappearances, all leading back to my haunted house.
