SOFIA WELKING
I love you, I'm sorry
chapter 11 | real life , letters

" you don't even have
to try, turn you into
a good guy "

dear walker scobell,

I, sofia welking, am delighted to invite you to my las vegas fashion show, on 15th november, as a model.

i'm sure you'll do great, because after all, when have you ever been bad at, well, anything?

you were always the better on in our friendship, whether it be maturity or talent. you'd always forgive me when i misspoke and lied, but to this day, i still held a grudge over you when i should've let go of it all along.

i'm sorry that i didn't reply to your letters even though i read them, and i'm sorry for a lot of things. i'm sorry i lied to you about why i moved away and perhaps you still don't realise that i lied about that. i'm sorry i kept it from you, i know you hate that.

with all that's said and done, i hope you accept my invitation and walk the runway.

- sofia's signature

sofia hesitantly put the unsent letter away, back into her drawer. this letter was written weeks ago, when she was supposed to send an invitation to the cast for her runway.

there was one certain letter that she never sent. coward, she really was.

sighing, she peered over her door to find her beloved cat, boomer, wiggling his tail in excitement to see his owner back home.

yes, sofia named her cat 'boomer'. not her best decision.

chuckling softly and rising from her seat to pick him up from the cold floor, she stroked the back of his ear as he purred softly.

she glanced outside her window, the snow covering trees without leaves, the whole pathway and stacked itself onto of rooftops.

she lived alone, while her mother and father both resided in a comfy apartment in new york. sofia was finally back at europe, where it all started.

the winter season always bought comfort to sofia, especially when she was home alone.

walking to the kitchen with boomer in her arms, she took in the absence of ingredients located inside her fridge.

while heaving a sigh, she placed boomer onto the ground to walk freely as she took the keys and headed outside.

she slipped onto her winter coat and boots, strolling along the pathway to the grocery store. everything was generally quiet. the jingle bells ringing every now and then, mothers calling their kids over to warm up by the fireplace and pastors guiding a crowd to sing choruses.

the snow was so thick that sofia had a hard time walking. with each step, she had to forcefully take her foot out of the pile. perhaps that's one of the downsides of winter season.

but whenever there's snow, she'll find comfort in it because she's spent her whole life waiting for it to come, to embrace her like she was some sort of child, eagerly awaiting for her mother to make hot chocolate for her to sit at the fireplace and sip.

it always made her feel at home and no matter how cold it was, there would always be parts and bits of it that made her feel warm and fuzzy inside.

yet every time she'd step into the snow, it'd be tremendously hard to get out of it. always fighting her way to get across the street, always troubling herself for something that can't be control.

are we still talking about snow, sofia?

as she was recollecting her thoughts, she felt someone step beside her. their boots made a crunch sound as they stopped walking.

" ms welking, has anyone ever told you that you're a hard figure to get ahold of? "
