Lt Kevin Thomas Riley and Karissa Elizabeth Ann Lowell are best friends and they first met on board the USS Republic coming from Post World War Three Planet Earth and The USS Republic orbits around Talos four and picks up Lt Kevin Thomas Riley.
One day Susan Virginia Bell, Katheryn Grace Kelly and Karissa are sitting in the garden on board The USS Republic and one day Lt Kevin Thomas Riley walks into the garden and he doesn't see them.
Lt Kevin Thomas Riley befriends all three and in fact on the day the USS Republic orbits around Star Base 12, it Lt Kevin Thomas Riley who escorts Karissa, Susan, and Katheryn to meet Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR, Duke of Norfolk Territory, and standing with him is his son, Lord Andrew Charles Howard, his first cousin, twice removed, Lord Richard William Carey, Duke of Bedford Territory, his nephew Lord Richard Edward Howard The Second and his grandnephew, Lord David William Beck.
Lord David Beck nor Lord Richard William Carey have any problem with Lt Kevin Thomas Riley, but it is Lord Andrew Charles Howard who does and when he sees the woman he loves on the arm of his worst enemy. He sees fire coming from his eyes and he tells his cousin, " She is on the arm of my worst enemy."

The friendship between Lt Kevin Thomas Riley, Karissa endures and no one can separate them including Lord Andrew Charles Howard.
None of Lord Andrew Charles' two older brothers have any problem with Lt Kevin Thomas Riley, it is only Lord Andrew Charles Howard who does.
Lord Andrew Charles Howard does have a problem with Kevin Thomas Riley, as he does with all Star Fleet Officers and Star Fleet Academy has been on Star-Base 12 for a long time since 2153.
It was there before The Aristocrats arrived on Star Base 12 in 2159 and they had no problem with The Star-Fleet Students.
