The Ibrahim's—the name is enough to make anyone bow down before them. They are cold, scary, merciless, ruthless and do not show emotions to the outside world, but inside the
house they have completely different personalities. It was a cloudy night. The clouds were scary and loud, but the Khan's Delhi Mansion was aglow with fairy lights and banners. Since it was Ibrahim's family first time visiting India after 12 years, so to make the occasion special, their extended family came together to organize a grand welcome party. Extravagant decorations with flowers and lamps adorned the lavish mansion from the inside. While the next day Ibrahim's organized a small together for their family and close friends.
After a few days, everyone settled down and resumed their regular lives in India as they moved from New York. Today, the ladies of the house were completely engrossed in preparing breakfast in the kitchen. Cooking is something the ladies of this house do themselves because they enjoy doing it, not because they cannot hire personal chefs; of course, they have kitchen staff, butlers, chefs, housekeepers, and scullery maids, but cooking gives them a feeling of satisfaction and fulfilment, which is very important in this chaotic world. On the other hand, the males of the family were all seated in the living room, talking about business and politics.
Hussain Ibrahim Khan is the grandfather of the Ibrahim siblings. A cold and scary man became emotionless after the death of his beloved son. Father of four children, but his second youngest son (father of Layina)and his wife were poisoned and murdered by his enemies after this tragedy the family moved to America. He loved his children and grandchildren from the core of his heart but couldn't express them in words, but his deeds always made it evident that he could die happily just to see them happy and peaceful. Pure evil to his enemies.
Hussain has four sons (1 died), and each of them is a threat to their own way and always busy in their work life.
Ibrahim's second generation is mainly divided into three parts. The three eldest are workaholics, disciplined, and hard-working individuals. While the youngest are troublemakers, brats, undisciplined, and irresponsible kids. There were two more kids; they could be serious in some circumstances and also troublemakers in others.
Layina, the first girl in the Ibhrahim family in generations, is no longer a part of this family. After his parent's death, the elders of the family made the decision to give her to his maternal grandparents. At that time, she was only ten years old. Later in the chapters we learned about her. Now the family has two more daughters except for Layina.
Let's follow the journey of this desi-joint family. An intensely exciting and dramatic family saga.
