When The Sun Meets The Sea

Chapter 1

We went down the ladder, and i jumped down to the ground. I landed on my left ankle, saving my right one. My ankle, newly broken of yesterday, was wrapped in some machine tape. It's all we had.

"We come in peace! Just getting a demigod who's been missing!" I called, smirking. I walked into the crowd and watched Annabeth find Percy. They kissed; and then, no surprise, judo flipped my brother. I was not mad one bit- he deserved it. Jason walked over and gave a small smile. "This is Annabeth- she usually doesn't judo flip people." I nodded, and when Annabeth got up, punched my brother in the stomach. He squeaked in pain, and I hugged Percy,

"You do that one more time, We're not coming to get you next time." I warned. Percy gave me a look and grinned. "'We'? You and Annabeth, who else? Finally got a boyfriend?" He teased. I pushed him playfully. "Dream on it, kelp face. We got three new demigods; Jason Grace, Piper McLean and Leo Valdez." Sure, Leo was hot, but Percy- or anyone else- Would never let me hear the end of that. I mean, we only have one thing in common, two words: Third-wheel. Sorry Leo.

In the conner of my eye, I saw Annabeth and a Roman walking and talking. Leo was walking up to the ship ladder. Then a girl tapped my shoulder. I turned around to see two of Percy's new friends. "Hey, you're Lacey, right? Percy told us about you. I'm Hazel, daughter of Pluto. This is Frank, child of Mars."

"Pl- oh." I saw Nico di Angelo, another child of the King of the Underworld, in the crowd. "You know Nico, right? He's your half-brother, Hazel. Cool. How do you like my brother? Pretty bad after a few months." I asked them. Hazel giggled- "Oh he's fine, but-" she was cut of by a loud BOOM. I saw a cannon coming from the Argo ||. There was screaming and battle cries. "Whoa, we're not calling battle! This is just a misunderstanding-" My knees buckled, and the world went black.

When I opened my eyes, I could feel blood coming out of the side of my head. Percy sat next to me, gazing at the wall. I tried to move, but it made the world spin. "P-percy?" I whispered, and he looked at me in shock. "Wow, I cant believe your already up. You got hit with a metal bat by Octavian. What a jerk. Who through a bat at a kid half his size!" He said, "But not as big of a jerk as that Valdez. He fired the cannons." I froze. I mean, that's just an expression, since, I couldn't move at all anyway. "Leo wouldn't do that... No, he wouldn't." There was quiet for a second, and that gave me time to slowly sit up.

"The Leo Valdez I know wouldn't do that. He must of been, like, possessed or something."

"Yeah right, a fifteen year old. Who in their right mind would order a Latino Extra Small to take over? Leo's just so small. Like, he's just slightly 5'5. That's super small. If i was a person wanting to posses someone, I wouldn't look twice at that dude." I had a sudden urge to punch him. LIKE, DUDE. As I was trying to get out of bed, I fell, and had a vision.

"NO!" Lacey screamed as Leo Valdez was flung into the sky. She fell to her knees and sobbed as Khoine giggled evilly. "Leo Valdez deserved... a special punishment."

"Y-you idiot- w-why didn't y-you just take m-m-me instead? I love him!" Lacey chocked out. She swore to the gods that Khoine would pay.
