                         ********
Four months had passed since Sanvi and her friends started their journey in medical school. Life had settled into a routine of lectures, study sessions, and late-night conversations in the hostel. One evening, as they returned from class, the excitement of a new announcement greeted them: the fresher's party for the first-year students was just around the corner.

"That's it, we're participating!" Urvi declared enthusiastically, clutching the event notice in her hands. "There's going to be dancing, speeches, singing-this is going to be so much fun!"

Divya's eyes lit up. "I'm definitely in for the dance performance. We've got to show everyone our moves!"

Sasha smiled, already thinking of what she'd contribute. "I'll give a speech. I love public speaking."

They all turned to Sanvi, who had been sitting quietly at her desk, smiling at their excitement. Urvi and Divya exchanged glances before Urvi asked, "So, what about you, Sanvi? You've got to participate!"

Sanvi raised an eyebrow. "Me? No way. I'm not the performing type."

"Oh, come on!" Divya protested, walking over and nudging her. "You can sing! We've all heard you humming in the room."

"Yeah!" Sasha agreed. "You've got a beautiful voice. This is your chance!"

Sanvi chuckled. "I only sing when I'm alone. Besides, I'm not sure I want to make a public appearance."

Urvi crossed her arms. "You've got no choice. We're all participating, so you can't just sit this one out. Right, Divya?"

"Exactly," Divya chimed in. "Besides, think of how fun it will be! We'll be there cheering for you."

Sanvi sighed dramatically, but deep down, their encouragement was working. "Alright, fine. I'll do it. I'll sing."

Her friends squealed with excitement, jumping up to hug her.

The next day, Sanvi headed over to the registration desk, where the organizers were seated, busy with sign-ups. The fresher's party buzz was already spreading across the campus.

"Hi, I'd like to sign up to sing," she said, slightly nervous but determined to follow through.

The organizer smiled warmly and handed her a form. "Great! Just fill this out. We're pairing singers for some of the performances to keep things interesting. Are you okay with having a partner?"

Sanvi blinked in surprise. "A partner? Um... sure, why not?"

"Awesome," the organizer said, jotting down her name. "We'll let you know who your partner is once everyone's signed up."

Sanvi walked away, heart racing. A partner? She hadn't expected that. Who would it be? What if they had completely different styles? Her mind was buzzing with questions, but her friends were ecstatic when she told them.

---

That evening, back at the hostel, Divya was already practicing her dance moves in front of the mirror. "Partner or not, Sanvi, you're going to crush it!" she said while twirling to an imaginary beat.

Urvi, adjusting her own dance costume ideas, grinned. "And if you get nervous, just imagine the audience in their pajamas. That always works!"

Sasha, scribbling notes for her speech, chimed in with a reassuring smile. "You've got this. Besides, it's not about being perfect-it's about having fun!"

Sanvi smiled, feeling a little less nervous and a lot more excited. She couldn't wait to see how the fresher's party would turn out, and a part of her was already looking forward to the thrill of performing.
