As my phone was ringing and I had bags in my hand so I looked towards Kiara and asked her "Maggie can you please remove my phone?" she was skeptical at first but then agreed and asked "Where is your phone?"
I looked down and replied "It's in my right pocket at front." She just nodded and kept her hand on my pocket as to feel the phone and when she understood the she opened the chain of pocket and removed my phone. She showed the screen towards me and it was Bhumi's call, I gestured her to accept and she was avoid to keep phone between my shoulder and ear but I denied as it will start paining, so I told her to put it on speaker.
She obliged and clicked on the speaker mode.
Bhumi- Bhaiyu Where are you? What are you doing?"
Me- I am going towards my friends flat as we have a night out there.
Bhumi- It's amazing Bhaiyu, actually I called you to ask are you free day after tomorrow, because mummy papa have to go out of station for some function and it is important to attend they will be back by next day evening but you know I haven't been alone at night. So will it be possible for you to come?
Me- Bhumi I'll try but I can confirm you by tomorrow evening.
Bhumi- Okay Bhaiyu. By the way did you had your dinner?
Me- No actually as we are having night out so I came at the super market to buy stuff and then we all will have our dinner. Also Bhumi do you know one thing?
Bhumi-What?
Me- We are going to eat Maggie tonight.
As soon as I said this she started whining I already knew she will do this as she also likes to eat Maggie and to tease her I said this, and she replied
Bhumi- Bhaiyu this is cheating you are eating Maggie without me You know na we use to eat Maggie always together.
Me-[while laughing] It's ok Bhumi we will eat it soon together. Now I'll hang up as one of my friends is holding my phone as I already have bags in my hand.
Bhumi- Okay Bhaiyu Have fun God Night.
Me- Good Night.
And then I gestured Kiara to cut the call. She disconnected it and kept my phone with her as I won't be possible for me to hold it.
We were about to reach when she asked me "You are very close to Bhumi?"
I smiled and replied "Yes she is like my little baby even though we have a age gap of 4 years but as Maa and Papa use to go café and I am an introvert so I use to stay at home only to take care of Bhumi we are being apart like this for first time and we love to spend time together. She is the princess and the heart of our family."
She nodded and said with a sad smile on her face "She is very lucky to have such a caring family and most importantly an elder sibling." "My mother died when I was just 5 and as Papa was busy in handling the business and other things I had to handle at home as Karan[her brother] was also a child. Being a child I always felt lack of mother's comfort. And being the elder sibling I needed to take the responsibilities and handle home. Even though papa married again but my mom and us[me and karan] do not share a close bond due to some reasons." "May be I am wrong but she never treated us as her own kids it felt as if she just married papa for money. She never showed us any affection as a mother. I and karan always felt that absence. Though I was there for karan but no one was there for me we could not go to papa also as he was busy in handling the business." "Even though papa and karan are very close to me and love me a lot but a motherly love a mother's embrace her love her care is always I've lacked for."
I could understand her feelings I have seen many people some of our café workers do not share quite a good bond with their family and I am lucky enough to have a loving family. But my Mummy is very kind and loving she treats everyone as her children and with love. Everyone is the café also loves her a lot and consider as their mother only.
When she first told me that we should be friends I agreed but I did not knew that she is so comfortable with me that she said such things. I mean obviously I won't judge her but sharing something so personal made me feel special as she trusts me so much that she can share her personal feelings her thoughts without any awkwardness with me.
I replied to her "It's ok Maggie you have all of us now and also I'll love to make you meet my parents. My mum is a sweetheart she'll really like you."
She gave me a smile and we started entering the gate. We were about to enter but then we saw Samar and Sriti coming out of a taxi in the compound.
They also saw us and we went towards them. I noticed that Sriti was wearing Samar's jacket may be she was feeling cold. We all then headed towards the building together while me and Samar were walking ahead it was complete silence as there was no one in the compound and neither me or Samar were having a conversation, due to the silence the gossiping or girls could be heard as they were walking behind us slowly.
I asked Samar "Where were you guys?" to which he replied "Actually we went with Kiara but as she had some work so I and Sriti thought to just explore around and we were enjoying it so didn't notice the time" and I noticed his ears getting red but just ignored it and inquired further "And Jacket?" he looked behind at her and then answered "Ohhh yes as were walking someone bumped into her and the drink fell on her top so I gave her my jacket." To which I just nodded and entered the lift.
The girls also shortly followed us and then we proceeded to the flat. The door was opened by Nitya and we entered inside, everything was done and they were all waiting for use. As Sriti had already asked Nitya to bring her clothes so she went to change and all of us were hungry so I thought to cook Maggie for us and Kiara followed me saying she wants Maggie to be made according to her.
I asked her to sit on the slab and gave her a packet of chips that we bought so that she can just direct me and I'll do the cooking work, she agreed and got settled I removed a pan and filled it with water after keeping it for boiling I started to work as per Kiara's orders.
