Kool knelt beside Alastor's unconscious body, staring at the bruises marring his skin and the blood that stained his clothes. The adrenaline that had fueled their brutal fight was fading, leaving him feeling hollow and scared. "What the hell have we done?" he muttered, his voice trembling as he ran a shaking hand through his hair. Anguish swelled within him, a torrent of guilt and frustration. "I always knew we pushed each other too far, but this... this is different." Tears prickled at the corners of his eyes, and he cursed himself for feeling so weak. "I didn't want it to end like this. Not with you lying here, and me standing over you like some kind of monster." He took a shaky breath, trying to steady himself, but the sight of Alastor's stillness made it impossible to shake the knot in his stomach. "You were supposed to be my rival, not my—" He paused, swallowing hard, feeling the weight of the unsaid words hanging heavily in the air. "I can't lose you. Not now, not like this."

Kool's voice cracked as he continued, the rawness of his emotions spilling out. "All those times we fought, all those insults, they meant something. They always did! But I never wanted to hurt you like this!" He felt the tears slipping down his cheeks, landing on Alastor's chest like droplets of regret. "You always acted like you didn't care, but I could see it. I could see the way you pushed me, the way you fought just to keep up with me. You cared, even if you'd never admit it!" His chest heaved with a sob as he leaned forward, resting his forehead against Alastor's shoulder, overwhelmed by a sense of loss he couldn't quite name. "What the hell am I supposed to do without you?" His voice dropped to a whisper, laced with desperation. "You were the only one who could match me, who understood me in a way nobody else ever could." The vulnerability hung heavy between them, and he felt a mix of anger and despair bubbling inside him. "Damn it, Alastor! Get up! I can't fight this battle alone anymore!"

As he leaned there, feeling utterly lost, a flicker of hope ignited within him—maybe, just maybe, Alastor would wake up, and they could put this all behind them. But as he looked at the lifeless form of the person he had fought so hard against, he couldn't shake the fear that this time, they had gone too far. "Please, just come back to me," he choked out, tears falling freely as he tried to choke back his sobs, unsure of what the future held if Alastor never opened his eyes again.

As Kool knelt there, consumed by a swirling mix of fear and desperation, he felt a slight movement beneath him. His heart leaped into his throat, and he pulled back, staring at Alastor's face. Suddenly, Alastor's eyes fluttered open, revealing a storm of emotions that mirrored Kool's own. For a fleeting moment, everything else faded away, replaced by the relief of seeing him awake.

"Alastor!" Kool exclaimed, his voice a mix of joy and urgency. But that relief was short-lived. Alastor's gaze hardened, shifting from confusion to fury in an instant. He pushed himself up with surprising speed, his body tensing as he glared at Kool. "Get away from me," he spat, his voice low and dangerous.

Kool's heart sank at the venom in Alastor's tone. "Wait, what? I thought you were—"

"Thought I was what? Dead? You wish!" Alastor cut him off, a sneer curling on his lips. "I'm not going down that easily."

Before Kool could respond, Alastor lunged at him, his movements sharp and fluid. Kool barely had time to react, instinct kicking in as he dodged to the side, feeling the rush of air as Alastor's fist grazed his shoulder. "Damn it, Alastor! We don't have to do this!" he shouted, frustration lacing his voice.

But Alastor wasn't listening; he charged again, this time aiming a powerful kick at Kool's midsection. Kool braced himself, the impact sending him staggering back. He gritted his teeth, trying to shake off the pain as he retaliated with a swift punch aimed at Alastor's jaw. Their fists collided, the force of their blows echoing in the air, igniting the tension that had simmered between them for so long.
