Regarding The Disappearance Of Letter

[AMBER'S POV]
Does anyone remember Letter? They used to be here at this...island.
They used to be really silent and all, I don't even know why.
Maybe they just needed to be alone for a bit.

We all were taken by train to some sort of island, with a few cabanas, big enough to fit one team - which was of 5-7 contestants. We were on the Blue team.
It was lunch time. We got to eat salads, which is pretty cool. However, Letter didn't touch their salad. They just sat there, in complete silence.
I wanted to ask them something.
"Hey...new friend, are you alright?"
They looked at me, pretty confused.
"Friend? I don't even know you."
They went back to looking down at their food, which remained untouched.
They actually made me concerned. Maybe they didn't like being in crowded spaces..
The cafeteria however wasn't crowded, there were like 14 people in here.
"Hey..again...uhh...are you okay? Do I need to comfort you in some way?"
No response.
They just blankly stared at me.

I guess they really needed some time to get used to it..

[LETTER'S POV]
What is this place? I thought I could finally leave my house..where...where...I...*sighs*... Forget it.
I didn't really like this place, reminds me of that one time I went with my mother and my two siblings to the park and some strange guy offered something but I refused.
Lunch time was pretty boring, I didn't feel hungry, so I just stared at my salad until someone startled me.
"Hey...new friend, are you alright?"
I looked at the person who calls me their "friend". I've never seen him before, I mean, I never saw this weird crystal guy ever. I slowly looked at him and said..
"Friend? I don't even know you."
I went back to looking at my salad, imagining a plan to escape from here. I didn't want to stay here for the next few months, or even years.
That same guy I mentioned a few seconds ago asked me the same question and offered to comfort me.
I never got that as a kid. Not even by my "friends".
