Actually not everyone died at the lake. Before the bomb went off and before Noah came too shore Jack's friend named Nash showed up. He had found out the bomb minutes before. Nash works for the government as an international spy. After he had found out about the bomb and who was at the lake he had to go save them. He got there and was only able to save two people. One was Jack and the other was Maria. The bomb went off shortly after.
