Kirk felt pride as Terri conducted the meeting as if she had been born to the role of alpha. When Anna and her little pack of sycophants walked in, Terri stood to face them, waiting for several moments before speaking.

"I hereby banish all four of you, Anna, Becky, Jeri-Lynn, and Monica, from this pack," Anna gasped, and then glared.

"I do not acknowledge you as pack alpha," she sneered, though her voice wavered slightly as she stood up to the power of an alpha.

"That is fine, as you are no longer a member of this pack," Terri responded, giving her a wide smile and then turning to the other alphas crowded into the room.

"Since I have no desire to make four vulnerable women rogues," she spoke up over the protests of the women, "I beseech the other packs to be willing to accept these women into your ranks," she gave a feral smile, "but separately. No two women will go to the same pack." The alphas all looked at each other before continuing to stare blank faced at Terri, "These women attacked me during the blizzard, causing me to fall off the cliff and destroying an expensive leg. They did so under the instruction of Anna, who has spent years tormenting me." Kirk could feel the relief flow through Terri that she was finally facing her abuser head on and putting this distasteful part of her past behind her, "so provided that none of you remain in contact with each other, I do not see why you wouldn't be useful members of a pack. Just not this one." Devin stepped forward and raised a hand,

"May I propose that the packs that take these women take them on a probationary trial, like we would an unmated human that works for the pack and is aware of our secrets?" Several others murmured in agreement. Terri nodded and gave him a smile.

"That sounds like a lovely idea," Anna continued to sputter as Terri and the alpha spoke.

"My pack takes up most of the tundra areas in Alaska, so I will offer the place to miss Anna here," he looked over at her and frowned, "I am sure we will find meaningful work for her that will direct her energy away from being a bully." As Anna's protests died, Terri nodded and watched as three other alphas came forward and offered places for the other three girls. Once the negotiations for their move were completed, Terri spoke to them one last time.

"My final act is to tell the four of you that you are forbidden to set foot on any land owned or overseen by either pack that I belong to," she held firm in her conviction, "I never want to see any of you ever again." With that final statement, Zoe and Michael proceeded to usher the four women out, followed by Kayla and Darren, who were whispering, with Kayla obviously taking the lead in their conversation. Once there was a little more room and the alphas spread out, Terri relaxed, slumping in the chair. She looked up at Kirk.

"Is it always like this?" She asked.

"Like what?" he reached forward and squeezed her arm slightly.

"Stressful," she looked at the others who were all staring at her, the only sound was John furiously scribbling on the pad, writing out lists and instructions for later. One of the alphas, Garret, gave a dry laugh.

"You did something we have been waiting years for," a murmur of agreement accompanied that, "we have all known that Darren was more than a little old fashioned, adhering the some of the more archaic laws of our kind," the voice turned gentle, "but a lot of that had to do with the fact that he took over the pack when he did and in such violence." Devin knelt before Terri and took one of her hands, his eyes old and paternal.
