Time: 2031
Years had passed since Jacob and his little brother Joseph's unusual marriage, and life had settled into a strange normalcy. Their childhood friends had each gone their separate ways: Dylan Nishimoto was now toiling at a SHEIN factory, Maddox Chan had joined Temu, Gabe Ulloa had become a successful game developer and story writer, and Ryan Wue, always dependable, had teamed up with Dylan at SHEIN.
But the one person missing from their lives was Ryan Cadi. After their wedding, he had vanished, leaving behind nothing but a lingering sense of mystery. As time went by, Jacob couldn't help but wonder what had happened to him. One day, driven by curiosity, Jacob turned to his brother Joseph and proposed a mission: they needed to find Ryan Cadi.
Their journey led them to the outskirts of an abandoned industrial area, where they stumbled upon a decrepit, hidden lair. Inside, they found stacks of strange notes and disturbing drawings. It became clear that Ryan Cadi had been conducting bizarre experiments to transform himself into the "ultimate sped kid." He had fully embraced his chaotic persona, but the extent of his transformation was still unknown.
Suddenly, a loud crash echoed through the lair. Jacob and Joseph exchanged nervous glances and carefully approached the source of the noise. As they peered around the corner, they saw Ryan Cadi — or what was left of him. His arms flailed uncontrollably, slapping his head repeatedly as he bounced around the room. He was jumping up and down like a maniac, making guttural noises, his voice cracking as he screeched, "I'M SPED, I'M SPED, THE DEMONS ARE COMING!"
His movements were so exaggerated that he looked more like a twisted marionette than a human being. He ran in circles, flinging himself at walls and then rolling on the floor, all the while chanting, "GUIDED STUDIES! LITTLE BROTHER! GUIDED STUDIES!" The chaotic scene was a stark contrast to the Ryan Cadi they once knew.
"Cadi, what the hell happened to you?" Jacob shouted, trying to get through to him. But Cadi was far too gone. He barely registered their presence, instead shouting, "ELMO'S HERE! WANNA SEE MY GHOST PEPPER?!"
Joseph took a step back, horrified. "He's... completely lost it."
Cadi suddenly turned his head sharply towards them, his eyes wide and wild. "YOU CAN'T ESCAPE! THE COCK IS WATCHING!" he screamed, flailing his arms violently as he began running towards them, his legs jerking erratically as if he had no control over his own body.
Jacob and Joseph bolted down the narrow corridor, their hearts pounding as Cadi's footsteps echoed behind them. "THE DEMONS! THE DEMONS!" Cadi screeched, his voice cracking as he ran, his arms spinning like windmills, smacking the walls and anything else in his path. Every few seconds, he'd let out an absurd high-pitched squeal, followed by a deep, gravelly growl, then more head-slapping.
"He's acting more sped than ever!" Joseph shouted as they rounded a corner.
"We need to get out of here before he infects us with whatever this is," Jacob replied, adrenaline coursing through him.
They reached a dead end. Jacob frantically looked around for an escape, but there was nowhere to go. Just as Cadi caught up with them, he jumped wildly into the air, his legs flailing, and slammed into the ground with a loud thud, laughing maniacally. "CAN'T RUN NOW! THE COCK IS WATCHING YOU!" he yelled, slapping himself on the head repeatedly. His eyes bulged as he giggled and made exaggerated, sped noises, flailing his arms even faster than before.
Jacob and Joseph braced themselves, expecting the worst. But suddenly, just as Cadi was about to envelop them in his "death hug," a loud shout echoed through the lair.
"Back off, Cadi!" Dylan Nishimoto and Gabe Ulloa appeared, running toward them. Gabe had a look of determination, while Dylan held a makeshift weapon fashioned from SHEIN packaging supplies.
Ryan Cadi, seeing the new arrivals, shrieked even louder. "SPED KID GANG! SPED KID GANG!" he yelled, throwing himself onto the floor and rolling around like a crazed animal. "YOU CAN'T ESCAPE! I'M SPED KING!"
Dylan and Gabe quickly moved Jacob and Joseph out of the way, positioning themselves between Cadi and the group. "We've got to end this!" Gabe shouted.
But Ryan Cadi's transformation was complete. His movements became more erratic, his voice more shrill as he screamed incoherently, flailing harder than before. He slapped his head so violently it was a wonder he hadn't knocked himself out. "GUIDED STUDIES!" he bellowed, smashing into a wall before spinning around in circles, kicking his legs out with exaggerated force.
Jacob, panting, watched as Cadi's meltdown grew worse. "There's no saving him," he muttered. "He's fully sped."
Cadi let out one last guttural roar, "THE DEMONS!!! THE COCK!!" before crashing into a pile of discarded gadgets. His limbs twitched wildly, his eyes unfocused, as if completely disconnected from reality.
Dylan and Gabe quickly dragged Jacob and Joseph toward the exit. "Let's get out of here!" Dylan yelled. Behind them, Cadi continued to scream, "YOU CAN'T ESCAPE! THE DEMONS ARE INSIDE ME! I'M ELMO!"
As they reached the safety of the outside world, they slammed the door shut. Cadi's voice could still be heard faintly in the distance, echoing through the halls of his lair. "THE COCK IS WATCHING!" he screamed one final time.
The friends stood there, catching their breath, the weight of what had just happened sinking in.
"What the hell do we do now?" Joseph asked, his voice shaking.
"We leave him," Gabe replied solemnly. "He's too far gone."
As the sun set on the horizon, Jacob looked back at the lair. "We tried," he whispered, before walking away with his friends.
In the distance, Ryan Cadi's sped noises faded into nothing, leaving only the echoes of what once was.
