Muthuvel was teaching Maths to the little kids in their village and Vaidhegi was admiring him standing behind a pillar.
"Vaidhegi !!" Rathnam yelled from the kitchen and she went to the kitchen..
"Sollunga Atha"
"Indha aa kaatu" She fed her a morsel of Idli and meen Kozhambu (fish curry)
"Naan Saapten yerkanave" She said
"Paravala Saapdu" She fed her another morsel and Vaidhegi happily ate.
She never saw her mother, the only person who gave her a mother's love was Rathnam.

On a random morning, Vaidhegi was cooking and Muthuvel walked across the kitchen humming music. But he stopped in his tracks and went inside the kitchen seeing her. He softly kissed Vaidhegi's earlobe and she was about to shout in shock but he closed her mouth with his palm and said,
"Kathaadha di Naan dhaan" She nodded her head and he took his hand away
"Sari Naan onna kattikava ?" He asked
"Un ishtam Mama" She said
"Ei Unna kalyanam pannikavaa nu kekkuren en ishtam ndra" He asked is disbelief
"Mama enga Appa ta kelu" She said
"Avuru kitta kekkuradhu irukattum nee sollu enna kattikiriyaa ?" He asked and she hummed in response
"Vaarthaila sollu" He said
"Mm kattikuren" She said while blushing
"Naan inniki saandharame Appaa Ammaa ta soldren sariyaa ?" He asked
"Sari Mama" She replied

Later, that evening everyone was in the living room drinking tea and chatting with each other. Muthuvel was planning to tell about their love to his parents. But, when he was about to start the conversation he got interrupted by a landline call.
"Yaaru ?" Saraswathi Answerd the call
"Engineer Muthuvel irukaaraa ?" The person in the call asked.
"Mm irukkaaru...Dho tharen" She said
"Anney Unkitta dhaan pesanumaan" She said and Muthu spoke in the call,
A few minutes later, he hung up the call and said,
"Appaa Ammaa edho mukkiyamaana site velaayaam. Adhu Vera oru engineer dhaan paathaaru avurukku odambu sari illadhadhunaala naan varanumaa...Naan oru rendu maasam poitu vandhudren" He said while looking at Vaidhegi
"Sari paa poitu vaa" Murugan said
"Ippadhaana vandha adhukkulla porendra ? En yaa ?" Rathnam said feeling sad
"Aamaa Ney pogaadha" Saraswathi said
"Idhudhaan en vela...purinjiko Saras" He said and Saraswathi's face fell
But, he somehow managed to convince them all except Vaidhegi who was silently crying the whole time without anyone noticing.
After eating their dinner everyone went to sleep except Vaidhegi who was sobbing quietly looking at the sky and stars.
