the sight was beyond breathtaking.

there stood a lanky, drenched boy, a very gorgeous one to be precise.
before she could respond with anything, she absorbed his features.

despite the only source of light being the moon, that didn't bother the Jin girl noticing his chiselled jawline, his perfect,soft-looking lips, and his moles. "oh how well his moles complemented his face" the soaking wet girl thought to herself.

then it hit her.

said gorgeous, not to mention polite as one could be, boy
had just witnessed her running around like a hooligan.

noticeably cursing herself mentally, she finally managed to break the uncomfortable silence between the two.

"yes..?"

"you dropped something." the mysterious guy replied, looking back,"i was just walking my dog when I noticed you dropped something..while u were..running?"

this had to be the most humiliating thing yoona had experienced in all her 18 years of living. not only is her grandpa experiencing some life threatening health issues, forcing them to move to this small ass town, but now she had completely embarassed herself in front of this gift from god-looking man.

"oh my gosh really! im so sorry it's just been a few couple of nights." yoona exclaimed as she bowed down to the stranger. suddenly, her heart dropped.

her wrist was bare.

her wrist was never bare.

***

for as long as she recalls, yoona had always been wearing her special bracelet.

no matter if it didn't go with an particular outfit, or had to be taken off forcibly, yoona never took it off.

she always called it her lucky bracelet, despite the fact that she wore it everyday.

even present day when the world she thought she had rebuilt once again from the day she started high school, had come crashing back down on her looking for revenge.

***

as if it was right on cue,the stranger, who had just seen her come to realisation, held out a bracelet.

her bracelet. the one that carried a little duck keyring.

"as much as I would love to stay and chat with such a pretty girl like you, my parents are going to be worried sick if I don't come home soon. i hope I can see you around sometime?" he starts, subtly giving her a wink as he does a little, playful salute.

meanwhile, the jin girl was as pale as a ghost, as if all the life was sucked out of her the second she heard the word pretty in that angelic voice of his.

"y-yeah! i will see you around..also thanks for the bracelet!" she stutters out, bowing again,"it means a lot!"

"no worries," he turns around, simultaneously waving as he returns to his dog.

as quickly as she left the house, she ran back straight to her familys home.

***

making sure to enter with silence and nothing other, she finally exhales the breath she had been holding onto for so long.

gracefully going back up the stairs, she caught sight of herself, the slim, elongated mirror decorating the beige wall.

"thank the Lord it was dark outside" she thinks to herself.

her face was a vivid, vibrant shade of tomato red.

although being in the cold for most of the night, as her hands travelled to her cheeks, she felt the warmth at her fingertips.

however, there was something so enormous she couldn't brush off ,even if she had to get it surgically removed.

his face.

not only the beauty it carried, but also the fact that she knew it from somewhere.

maybe an ad,commercial or someone from the tv??

or maybe someone she had met before..someone who felt like she met in another life time.

her family, a snoring mess, lay across from her,

maybe this summer wouldn't be as bad as she anticipated.
