???'s POV

I watched as the toon handlers left via the elevator. I knew if they forgot anything it would still take at least 20 minutes to go up then return to the toon rooms.

Good thing I looked for any items and returned them to me. "You really paid attention to those lessons Dandy" "So polite, you'll be a good influence on the kids when we open." Shame it's not gonna be exactly polite when my plan is finished.

I approached the closed steel doors and waited until the elevator sign said it was at the lobby before clicking the button to call it down.

"Hey Dandy! Where ya' going?" A voice said behind me.

"Oh! Hello Poppy, one of the toon handlers forgot their badge so I'm calling the elevator to send them back down." I lied to her with a smile.

"That's so nice of you Dandy, no reason you're the best toon here." Poppy said. I flinched internally as the thought of my plan was the exact opposite of best. "Well goodnight, see you tomorrow."

"Goodnight to you as well. Tell Astro goodnight as well for me." I said.

"Would've anyway considering you're so gay for him." She laughed.

I blushed as she said that. "AM NOT!"

"You're not so good at hiding it." Poppy continued laughing in a non mockful way.

"Goodnight." I muttered. How was she so good at finding out who people liked? She's really too skilled at shipping.

"G'night Dandy!" She walked away and started talking to Gigi and Scraps.

She knows literally almost everything about crushes and how to tell. I found a paper of lists of who people liked. "Astro: Dandy, Boxten: ???, Brightney: No one, Cosmo: Sprout, Dandy:Super gay for Astro, Finn: No one, Flutter: ???, Gigi: Straight up told me she's aroace, Gooby: Shrimpo but why?, Glisten: Either Rodger or Boxten, Me: Scraps <3, Rodger: ???, Razzle: Vee, Dazzle: Astro, Scraps: Maybe me?, Shelly: Vee, Shrimpo: Gooby goob crazy it's mutual, Sprout: Cosmo, Teagan: ???, Tisha: Teagan, Toodles: Hopefully no one because she's way too young, Vee: Really protective over Astro so maybe him?" The even crazier part about the list is that it looks accurate.

Before I could continue a ding noise rang in my area. The elevator doors opened slowly as the freezing air trapped inside blew out.

"As cold as usual." I complained to myself. The AC was always on and since the facility was large it's no surprise the room would frequently get cold.

I stood impatiently as this elevator took so much time to transfer between floors. Despite the building being built so recently, this elevator is almost as if it was the first one ever.

This elevator is as fast as Shrimpo is kind. Not at all. God why do I keep monologuing so much? It's uncanny, almost like I'm narrating to an active audience.

"Why the hell is that playing on the monitor? Omigod it's too ugly and terrible. I swear if there's more." I covered my eyes with my petals. (Dandy's petals can act like a hood in a way fyi)

I heard the elevator open and ran out in fear. Unfortunately I still heard the noise of the song even after it closed. Why would someone make that?!

I turned around and walked through the empty hallways. "Creepy." I muttered. I opened every door looking for the Ichor Control Center room. That's where every toon was made. Where my whole life started.
