Shirou POVMy eyes opened once more this time I am greeted to the sight of a beautiful night sky with shining-colored stars.
I stood up confused wondering how I got from the shed to whatever this place was. I than saw gears of great sizes chained together in the sky and around me were blades of all kind. The answer soon came to me "So this is what my version of Unlimited Blade Works looks like haha jeez talking about being edgy much...but then again it's not so bad," I thought as I passed by the weapons that I had copied from the museum.
Some blades were just ones used by ancient Japanese nobles to show off and some others wielded by nameless samurai though they were nothing special they were useful in what their experience had to offer.
I knew nothing of combat or of swordsmanship so to some degree I can still use these weapons to one day develop a sword style of my own.
My eyes then focused themselves to the peak of a nearby hill where the copies of Durandal, Gram, Gae Bolg, and Houtengeki laid impaled however those were not what caught my attention.
No.
At the very top of the hill there was a great black tree its twisted branches reached upward like skeletal fingers, and chained to its trunk was an armored figure clad in red. The moment I saw him I knew who he already was I didn't need any explanations.
I found myself moving forward towards the figure ignoring any of the passing weapons until I stood face to face with the figure whose head turned to look at me. I could practically feel the head piece of the armor glaring at me "tch I don't understand your body submits, your soul has succumbed. So why—why does what remains of you resist?!...SHIROU EMIYA?!" I exclaimed to the bounded red knight.
The red knight remained silent which only made my blood boil more.
"ANSWER ME!" I shouted once more fists clenched at my sides but the knight didn't so much as flinch.
Fine if he wouldn't answer then I'd speak I wasn't here for his answers anyway "you're pathetic," I sneered pacing in front of him "bounded to some stupid ideal, dying for a dream that wasn't even yours to begin with, and where did it get you in the future? Nothing you've seen your other selves from my memories you know what happens to you if you kept chasing after that ideal!" I exclaimed.
I than created illusions around us the first being EMIYA with both of the married blades in his grips and the other being EMIYA Alter posing beside him with his twin guns. The Hero of Justice bound by his regrets and bitterness the other beyond twisted a version of himself that had given up everything in order to pursue his ideal without stop.
Both were products of the same damned ideal, both looking down at this pathetic bound fragment that never even had a chance to live because of the way he went about in using his magic circuit it felt good to taunt him, to show him the futility of how flawed his ideal was.
The knight's head snapped up and for a brief moment the air around us shifted.
"Finally," I muttered a smirk tugging at the corner of my lips "is that all it takes to get a reaction out of you?"
A low growl escaped him the chains groaning as he pulled against them. When he finally spoke his voice was rough and distorted heavy with something that almost felt like bitterness "you... really hate me that much?"
"Hate you?" I barked out a laugh "don't get me wrong Emiya I don't hate you I just want to remain being my own person I don't need you to go around influencing me into becoming a hero because while I do have my own morals I am not all good, I have my own thoughts, and my own aspirations I simply just don't want you to taint them," I explained my voice slowly returning back to its calm tone.
