???: So, you want answers?
Kaylee: *ears lift up and her tail wags* Mephiles?! Where--
Mephiles: Under the pillow.
Kaylee: Um... O_e *moves pillow away to find the purple emerald* Uh... you're the emerald? *picks it up*

Mephiles: *explains how he was defeated and how Elise blew out the flame* I foresaw my defeat. Whether I liked it or not, it saved me. I was able to slip through a crack of time before Solaris was erased from existence.
Kaylee: Oh... so time was reversed? That sure explains the new city and Silver seeming to have no memory of what happened...

Mephiles: It doesn't matter, truth be told we were fighting a useless fight...
