It was a nice place to stay. The rainforest was quiet for most of the time, besides the weather and whatnot... Oh, and the giant Titan egg that was hidden by Monarch. But they did get nice houses to stay in while here. The sun was peeking in the windows, casting a warm light through the kitchen.
"Why am I doing this again?" Y/n asked as he dropped the slices of bacon into the pan before turning around. He leaned against the counter and looked at the wild brunette bundle of hair that sat in front of her laptop.
Madison stopped scrolling through her emails and let out a sigh before she spun around on her stool, her right elbow leaning on the marble counter as she rested her chin in the palm of her hand. "Because I don't want to burn the house down this early in the morning," She pointed out as she shook her head, the brown curls bouncing around wildly before she tucked them behind her ear.
"You know something? Just because my Mum went into the lab early, doesn't mean I'm free to do stuff like this," Y/n pointed out as he crossed his arms and cocked his head to the side, eyes squinted as he stared at Madison for a moment.
Madison puckered her lips as her head tilted to the side, her eyes scanning the ceiling as she got lost in thought for a moment before humming. "And yet, here you are," She pointed out with an exaggerated smile and wide eyes before laughing. "Face it, you love me too much to say no," She added as she spun around again to read her emails.
Y/n groaned as he turned back to flip the bacon. "My only fault," He muttered, listening to Maddie giggle behind him as they worked on their own stuff.
"Hey, look at these," Madison called out and Y/n groaned before turning and making his way to stand next to Madison, hand resting on the countertop as he looked at the images on her laptop, images of wolves that her father had sent her and even an image of her and him when she was younger. "Well, not that..." She muttered and quickly scrolled past the image.
"Hey, go back, who was that weird-looking boy with your dad?" Y/n asked and Madison froze, just staring at her laptop with her mouth hanging open before suddenly, her elbow shot back and whacked him in the stomach causing him to flinch and step back, laughing as he made his way back to the stove. "Maddie, can you grab the toast for me?" He asked as he inspected the pan that had scrambled eggs in it. "What is this?"
Madison grabbed the toast and dropped it onto a spare plate as she looked up at the taller h/c-haired boy. "Scrambled eggs... You asked me to help make that..." She reminded him only to watch the slightly older boy let out a sigh as he looked at her.
"Scrambled eggs... I asked for scrambled eggs, not rubber..." Y/n pointed out and Madison dropped the plate of toast onto the counter, crossing her arms and leaning on one foot as she cocked her hips to the side.
"That is scrambled eggs..." She challenged him, her head tilting to the side as she glared at him. "What? Was I supposed to make them all gooey and slimy?" Madison asked with a mocking tone.
"Yes, that's scrambled eggs!" Y/n half laughed half scolded as he waved the pan around. "This is so rubbery I could use it to erase the Declaration of Independence!"
Madison gasped, her jaw hanging wide open as she hunched over with her hands on her waist. "Insult my food one more time and I'll beat you to death with a slice of toast!" She warned as she watched Y/n shake his head and dish some of the eggs onto a plate while she buttered two slices of toast and dropped them next to the eggs.
Y/n dropped the finished bacon onto the plate before sliding it over to Madison and dropping fresh bacon into the pan. "Enough with your threats and eat," He muttered as he continued to focus on the food as Madison grabbed tomato sauce from the fridge and made her way back to the counter next to him.
