Chapter One- The day we all left

I was at school in mechanic class just in 12 grade and I am working on building my own vehicle similar to my favorite video game called Halo they call it the worthog. My name is Carolina and I am 19 years old at Ross High School Academy and this is the day everything changed for me.

I was just working on my worthog doing some minor repairs on it when the school goes in a lock down drill and I was outside working because my worthog was to big to fit in the classroom. So I started to panic a little and run to the nearest door and try opening it with the teacher key card I was given to use to come inside since the door going in and out of the school were always locked except for 20 mins before and after school.

I used it over and over my panic rising a little but the doors stayed shut so I bang with my fists hard on the door several times but then I hear foot steps in the distance. I decided to run over to my worthog and hide on the floorboard and breath slowly and quietly while holding a wrench. Also trying to remain calm.

I hear the foot steps come closer and closer and I started to hear strange noises I thought maybe voices but its from a total different language I didn't recognized so I held my breath and tried my best to stay calm when I hear them right beside my vehicle. I ready myself.

As I brace myself to jump at them I hear gun fire and I cover my ears cuz it was close very close. And being stupid I decided to peek up to see what was happening and there were several weird looking things. I quickly duck down before they saw me but it was too late.

They came over to the vehicle and grabbed me and started to drag me away as I fight back as best at I could. To make their job easier they hit me several times and aimed a weird gun type thing at me and they shot me. I screamed in pain and struggle away as they shot me again first the side then my leg but I keep crawling away but not far until I passed out....
