Ed Mercer, weakened and trapped, sat inside the floating electric cage aboard Gallaxhar's colossal spaceship. The power that once surged through him, thanks to the Quantonium, had been drained away. Now, stripped of his giant form, Ed felt vulnerable and small, dwarfed not just by the alien technology surrounding him but by the weight of the impending invasion.
Suddenly, the door to the chamber slid open with a hiss, and in stepped Galaxhar himself. The alien leader eyed Ed with a cruel, satisfied grin.
"So, here you are—the so-called giant who dared to stand in my way," Galaxhar sneered. "How insignificant you look now, human. You thought you could challenge me?"
Ed, exhausted and without a plan, remained silent. Galaxhar continued, pacing slowly.
"The Quantonium is everything. It fuels my technology, powers my armies, and now, it will give me the strength to conquer Earth." He gestured toward a large machine in the room—the same one that had stripped Ed of his power. Lights blinked, and a low hum filled the chamber. "Soon, I'll have an army that no planet can resist."
With a flick of his wrist, Galaxhar activated his cloning machine. Ed could only watch helplessly as the device hummed to life. A bright, glowing energy pulsed through the room, and before his eyes, dozens of identical Galaxhar clones began to materialize. Row after row, they stepped off the assembly line, all bearing the same cold, calculating expression as their creator.
"This world will bow to me," Galaxhar said, his grin widening. "And there's nothing you or your pathetic friends can do about it."
Before Ed could process the full weight of Gallaxhar's plan, a thunderous crash shook the room. The metal door burst open, and through the haze of smoke and debris, Ed saw his friends—the monsters—charging in, jetpacks blazing. Dr. Cockroach, Link, B.O.B., and even Darulio had come to his rescue.
"Hang on, Ed! We've got you!" Link shouted, smashing a group of Galaxhar clones with a powerful punch.
Dr. Cockroach fired off a series of shots from a makeshift weapon, disabling the control panel that kept Ed's cage electrified. The energy field surrounding him flickered and died. B.O.B. stretched his gelatinous body to cover a dozen clones at once, tripping them up as Ed stumbled out of the cage, still weak but free.
"You came for me?" Ed gasped, his voice filled with surprise and gratitude.
"Of course, we did! What kind of teammates would we be if we left you behind?" Dr. Cockroach called back while adjusting his goggles, zipping around with his jetpack.
Link grinned, smashing more clones out of the way. "Now let's teach these freaks what real monsters can do!"
As the fight raged on, the monsters tore through Gallaxhar's clone army. Ed, still drained from the loss of the Quantonium, relied on his friends to carry the bulk of the fight. Darulio, zipping through the air on his jetpack, fired energy blasts that sent clones flying. Link used his brute strength to pummel through groups of them, while B.O.B. absorbed their attacks, laughing the whole time.
Meanwhile, Dr. Cockroach sped ahead toward the ship's control centre, determined to stop Gallaxhar's plan at the source.
As Galaxhar watched the chaos unfold, his cold demeanour began to falter. His clone army was struggling to keep up with the monsters, and his ultimate plan was slipping away.
"Mercer! You think you've won?" Galaxhar snarled, clutching the edges of his control panel in frustration. "This is far from over!"
Ed, gathering the last of his strength, stood tall despite his diminished size. "You're not taking this planet, Galaxhar—not today!"
The battle raged on inside the ship, with the monsters overwhelming Gallaxhar's forces one by one. However, Galaxhar still had his ship's full arsenal at his disposal, and time was running out. Ed knew that if they didn't end this soon, Galaxhar would regroup and continue his assault on Earth.
In the midst of the chaos, Dr. Cockroach finally reached the ship's main control room and began working furiously on a terminal. "I've got an idea, but we need more time! Ed, keep him busy!"
Ed, summoning every ounce of willpower, charged at Galaxhar, knocking the alien leader back. The two clashed in a desperate struggle, with Ed managing to gain the upper hand briefly. But Galaxhar wasn't giving up easily.
As Galaxhar pressed a series of buttons on his wrist device, a shield emerged around him, separating him from Ed. The alien leader sneered, preparing for another move. But Ed wasn't alone—his friends quickly closed in to help. Together, they fought their way through the clones, determined to stop Galaxhar from launching his invasion.
