Author's Pov, (Yash son of Esha and Dev: 1 year)

Yash, the son of Esha and Dev, had just turned one. He was the soft center of their world, the quiet joy that filled every corner of their home.

Esha sat in the living room with her laptop resting on her lap, carefully reviewing a stack of student resumes. She was searching for someone eligible for a content management position in her consultancy. Her expression was focused, yet gentle, her fingers scrolling steadily as she evaluated each profile with patience.

"Food is ready," a man's voice called out warmly from the kitchen.

"Coming," Esha replied with her usual cheerful energy.

She walked toward the dining area and paused at the sight before her. Her two greatest loves stood near the table, smiling proudly at the dishes laid out.

"Mamma... foo...d... good," little Yash said in his adorable, broken baby voice, his tiny hands clapping excitedly.

Esha laughed softly. "The smell is so good. My baby is learning so fast." She ruffled his soft hair lovingly.

"What about me?" Dev asked, pretending to sound offended.

She looked at him with amusement. "You are also the best... husband."

The three of them enjoyed their Saturday lunch peacefully, exchanging small conversations and affectionate smiles. It was simple, but it felt complete.

After lunch, they settled in the living room to watch a movie. Yash slowly drifted to sleep in Esha's lap, his small fingers curled into her dress. Dev turned off the television and looked at his wife. She was already looking at him.

"Esha," he began thoughtfully, "it has been many months since we truly spent time together. How about we go somewhere tomorrow?"

"But Dev, we go out every two weeks," she replied gently.

"But Yash is always with us. You spend most of your time with him," he said in a mildly complaining tone.

Her eyebrows lifted in surprise. "Wow, Dev. Are you jealous of your own son?"

He folded his arms dramatically. "Yes, I am jealous. So what?"

She laughed softly. "All right, husband. Do not be angry. We will leave Yash with Mom and Uncle tomorrow."

"That sounds like a good plan," he said with satisfaction.

The rest of Saturday passed with playful teasing and lighthearted moments.

Early the next morning, soft rays of sunlight filtered through the curtains and brushed against Esha's face. She slowly opened her eyes and turned her gaze toward her husband. Dev looked peaceful in his sleep, his features calm and handsome. Beside him, Yash was hugging his father's hand tightly, as if claiming him as his own.

Esha had always heard that sons preferred their mothers, but her little boy followed Dev everywhere. Strangely, she loved that about them. A serene smile curved her lips. She leaned forward and kissed Dev's cheek, then pressed a gentle kiss on Yash's forehead before slipping out of bed.
