Alora was seated in her bedchambers, looking at a vase that was on her windowsill. This vase was empty a few days ago but suddenly, it's filled with white lilies. It was obvious who put them there whilst she was sleeping. She took the time to change the water, setting them in the sunlight to lengthen their lifespan.

It was a beautiful day in Volterra but she knew that Caius wouldn't let her leave to explore. It was to dangerous in his mind. Alora didn't quite understand how many enemies the Volturi had but since the wives were locked in a tower, she started to get the idea that the Volturi was sort of like the Italian Mafia in a way.

Alora was dressed in a very elegant outfit. She didn't tend to dress in dark colors as they didn't suit her. She always glowed when adorned in lighter shades. The human walked around the castle, Felix following loosely behind. Alora was about to pass the library when something caught her eye. She halts and does a double take, smiling to herself as she spots a brand new piano sitting in the corner, right under a large window.

"When did this get here?" Alora glances back at Felix before returning her gaze to the piano. It looked expensive.
"Today. It's yours." The human heads over to it, taking a seat and crossing her ankles politely before opening the cover. The keys were wood instead of plastic which meant it made higher quality melodies.
"Do you like the piano?" She questions, a smile still adorning her lips as she lightly runs her fingers over the keys, simply admiring the beauty of her new possession.
"I don't listen to music." Felix's answer causes her to raise a brow, almost in disbelief that someone of this age doesn't like music.
"That's sad. Music is wonderful." She murmurs under her breath, knowing that he would hear it no matter how quiet she whispered.

Alora lifts her fingers, slowly letting her fingers dance along the keys. She was amazing at playing the piano. She had been taking lessons since she was a child. She didn't need sheet music for the song she was playing. The song she was currently playing was called—
"Gymnopedie?" A voice echoes through the room, causing Alora to pause her moments and glance up. She spots Caius entering and she can't help but smile at the fact that he knew it.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Alora inquires, resuming the once paused song. He doesn't answer for a moment, only admiring her as she played. He must admit that she did play rather well, almost perfectly. But to him, the way she played was better than any famous pianist. The way she played the piano was so enticing. When watching her string melodies together, you could see the way her eyes smiled. Her movements were slow and you could feel the emotions through the song. That was priceless.

"Indeed. Very beautiful." Caius agrees, but he wasn't taking about the song. He steps closer to her, glancing down as her fingers danced along the wooden keys.
"How has your day been so far?" Alora looks up at him as she asks, pausing the song. Caius stares into her big eyes. She reminded him of a deer. She looked so peaceful it sort of made him feel serene. Alora was like a beautiful painting to him and as he got to know her, he could start to see each individual brushstroke that made her who she is.
"It was nice. Had a meal, attended a meeting, went on a walk. You?" Her eyes squint at him slightly as he mentions a meal. The thought of them sucking the life out of people sort of irked her but she couldn't get mad since that's what humans did to animals. It's not wrong if you're doing it to survive. At least that's what she told herself to feel less guilty when enjoying some juicy chicken.

"It's been good so far. It's a beautiful day outside, I wish I could go look around." Alora says, rising from the piano bench and striding over towards the huge window, glancing outside. She sometimes loved to watch people outside of her window. Not in a creepy way, but she liked to look at them and wonder what their lives were like. Caius follows her after a moment, now standing behind her, also looking outside the window.
"Sadly, it is such a sunny day that you can not go outside. You'd need an escort and vampires shimmer in the light as you know. But you can visit the gardens." At his words, Alora whips her head around, staring up at him with big eyes and a smile. The sight of that made him feel warm. It was like a warm hug. He doesn't know why but when seeing her smile, it made him want to smile too. He just wanted to smile with her like an idiot.
"Really? Can we go?" Caius nods his head, his gaze still on her. Slowly, the ghost of a smile appeared on his lips. Alora doesn't notice this, though. She tugs at his shirt, hoping that he'll follow her. He does follow her, of course. Caius leads her through the castle, noticing the way she'd stop every once in awhile to admire the architecture. She loved all types of art, it seemed. Paintings, architecture, music, and people too. Some had said that people were pieces of art. Caius didnt understand what anyone meant by that and thought it was stupid. That was, until he saw her.
