Jirai Kei (地雷系), translating to "landmine type", is a subculture and aesthetic originating from Japan that is heavily based on the teens hanging out in the night life of Kabukicho. During the height of its popularity it highly resembled , the edgier variants of it in particular, but has since moved on to integrate a broader variety of styles.
