Candace's POV

It's break time and the Nevers were bullying the Evers having a food fight while I ignored it. I was sitting with Agatha, soothing her while I was drinking tea until a ginger boy came, "Do you mind if I sit with you?" "Yes please. Sit with us," I answered. He introduced himself as Gregor and he's a bit awkward and average looking but I don't mind. I shook his hand, "It's a pleasure to meet you, Gregor. I'm Candace, daughter of Odette." He sighed, "I'm not cut out to be a prince and it's not who I am. I'd rather run my own grocery store." I gagged and almost choked with my tea and Agatha's eyes widened, "Wait really?" "Yes. I love food but I wouldn't sell meat because I can't stand the sight of blood. That's why I failed today. I got nicked in a duel," Gregor sighed in despair. I felt bad for him as I reassured, "Listen Greg. Just let go of your fears and anxieties and you'll be fine. Don't let anyone stifle you. Just be your own and create your own fairytale." "Thanks, Candace. You know you're not like the typical Ever girls who are pampered but you're wise, and compassionate," Gregor sadly smiled. I responded, "You're not like the other princes too who are too arrogant but just being yourself." "I know. Sometimes I wish the Evers were like that," he sighed.

Then Sophie came in to talk with Agatha and told them about their drama. When I approached them, Sophie saw my uncanny appearance and was shocked with fright and excitement at the same time since she was reminded of Xyla. "Oh hey! You're the daughter of Odette from Swan Lake, right?" Sophie gasped as her heart pounded. I answered with a perplexed face,"Yes Sophie. Are you alright? It looks like you've seen a ghost!" "Yes and it's that I just got bullied by Xyla, the daughter of Odile," she sighed in relief. I advised, "I know you got shunned by her and yes, she shuns me too. Now remember, don't confuse me with Xyla as twins. We're doppelgängers." "Sorry but what's a doppelgänger?" Sophie was puzzled. I answered, "Doppelgängers are doubles of a living person. Me and Xyla were born as doppelgängers and we inherited them from our mothers." "Is your mother related to Odile?" Sophie questioned. I answered, "Nope. We're not family related." Then it was time for our next class.
