I grew more worried as I watched veteran meteorologist, John Morales, cry on NBC about hurricane Milton.

"I apologize," he said through tears. "This is just horrific."

"I need to get her out of there." I said to myself

It's supposed to hit tomorrow and I heard some people have already started to lose power in Tampa Bay and Miami.

"What Billie?" Eternity answered the phone sounding tired

I heard loud snores and a baby in the background

I knew she had a kid

"Look, I'm gonna keep pressing about this until you agree to evacuate. Did you see the news? People are losing power and it's supposed to be a category 5." I said

"Just hood on a second." She said before hanging up

A few minutes later she called me back— this time FaceTiming me

"I'm actually kind of scared now, almost everyone on my block evacuated including my friends. I don't want you to have to take care of me though, that's not your responsibility." She said

"If I can help you, I can help you. It's not a burden to be a decent human being." I told her which caused her to smile

"Yeah you are very thoughtful, I appreciate that." She said

"So you'll leave Florida?" I asked

"Yeah." She sighed

"We haven't had power in like two days and the stores are closed." She told me

"I'm sorry to hear that. I can have my pilot scoop you guys up within the next three hours, is that okay with you?" I asked

"Yeah, thanks for your help Billie." She responded

"No problem. I'll see you in a few hours okay?" I said

"Okay, I'm going to start packing now-

"Who you on the phone with?" I heard a manly voice ask

"Oh my god get away." She rolled her eyes before hanging up

Could that be her baby father? Maybe it's a brother or cousin. I don't know. It really isn't my business

I'm just concerned about getting her to safety from this point on.

"Hello?" Jerome answered

He's a pilot that I met back in 2019

"Hey Jerome, I was wondering if you could fly to Miami and pick up a friend for me." I said

"Most definitely dawg, just let me know when. I'm actually in Tampa right now. You know Journey's got the best wings. It's the Florida in me." He said

"Oh perfect. Maybe in the next hour if you could? She leaves in a complex called lakefront-

"She from the Jake's?" He asked

"I'm not sure what that is." I said

"That's my old hood. I got you fam, don't even trip. I'ma be over there in a hour." He said

"Okay, thanks Jerome." I said

"No problem man. Anything for you." He said before hanging up
