Seo Changbin, Seo Jae Hee, Seo Ha Joon, and Seo Yunhee—the renowned Seo family of the Angels Realm.

Changbin and Jae Hee, siblings bound by blood but divided by resentment, were at odds with each other. Their relationship became worse after their family rose to fame and wealth. Jae Hee became consumed by her desire for luxury, practically falling in love with the power money brought.

Jae Hee craved the title, not for duty but for the power it held. She longed to feel the control of having the clan at her command. Changbin, on the other hand, was indifferent about becoming the heir. He never wanted to compete with his sister, always trying to avoid confrontation. However, tensions eventually boiled over, and he snapped. Their father, Ha Joon, watched silently, while their mother, Yunhee, desperately tried to intervene. She saw her daughter's descent down the wrong path, but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't stop it.

Then the fateful day came when Ha Joon called for a family meeting.

It was 6 PM, and the family gathered in the grand dining room of their palace, a room adorned with elegance. Ha Joon sat at one end of the table, Yunhee at the other, with Changbin and Jae Hee seated on opposite sides. Confusion filled the air as they waited for their father to speak.

"Changbin, why don't you move back into the palace?" Ha Joon asked casually, taking a bite of his food while glancing at his son.

Changbin looked up briefly before lowering his gaze again. "Is that all you wanted to say?" he asked, sighing as he stood up. "Dad, take care of your health. I thought this was about something important, but if not, I'll be leaving." With a calm smile, he bowed slightly. But as he bent down, the smile faded, and he turned to leave.

"I want you to take my position, Changbin."

The room fell silent. Changbin froze mid-step, his eyes wide with shock. Slowly, he turned to face his father. Jae Hee, equally stunned, felt a surge of anger but masked it.

"Dad, what are you saying?" Jae Hee's voice was sweet, but her hands gripped her chopsticks tightly. Their mother watched from across the table, but Ha Joon ignored the stares, focusing solely on his son.

"You left home and survived on your own for over five years. I've seen your strength and resilience. You help others, you're confident. So, I want you to lead the clan." Ha Joon leaned back, a small smile tugging at his lips.

Jae Hee shot a glare at her brother, while Yunhee slightly shook her head in disapproval. Changbin, catching the glances from all sides, exhaled softly. "Alright, I'll do it."

"You brat!" Jae Hee exploded, her voice rising as she stood from her seat. "You don't know anything!"

Changbin remained calm. "If I become leader, could I remove those whose ignorance has brought harm to the clan?" His question was targeted to his sister, his eyes briefly flickered to his furious sister.

"I'll leave it all in your hands, son," Ha Joon replied.

"Thank you," Changbin said with a faint smile.

"Meet me in my office tomorrow," Ha Joon added.

Changbin nodded deeply this time, bowing with more conviction. As he straightened, he glanced at his mother and sister. Yunhee remained silent, her expression unreadable, while Jae Hee seethed with barely contained rage. Changbin walked out of the room, his smile widening as he made his way down the hallway.

He could hardly believe it. He had always thought his father would choose Jae Hee, not him. But now, the core of leadership was his. He would prove to his father—and everyone else—that he was capable of protecting the clan.
