Today was the day the day I'm playing against the love of my life... ok maybe I'm being dramatic I never even meet the girl. But I'm so excited like I'm kicking my feet giggling scrolling through her instagram.
Me and Hailey are in the locker room getting ready "Are you excited?!" Hailey says. "Yeah I am I mean first game of the season right after the big win-" Hailey cuts me off "I mean about Nika" I knew what she was saying but I hope she wouldn't asked. "Yeah I mean i am but like what if she doesn't even talk to me or something or what if she thinks I'm uglier in person or-" she cuts me off again by a hand on my mouth. "Stop overthinking it I know the minute she sees you she gonna look at you with heart eyes it gonna be so cute!"

"HAILEY NIKA FOLLOWED ME AND LIEKD MY PHOTO AND CALLED ME PRETTY!!!" I say running and jump up and down. "I told you she liked you!!" She says to me "I can't believe this best day ever!" I say grinning from ear to ear. Coach Mulkey walks in. "All right ladies gather around!" We all huddle around her in a circle. "Alright ladies this is a big game against UConn they don't give up neither should y'all so let's get out there and show them what we're made of!!" We all cheer "Rosie break us down!" She says and looks at me and I nod. "TIGERS ON ME TIGERS ON 3!" "1.2.3 TIGERS!!" We all say in unison

There she is the most beautiful girl in the world. "Please put your hands together for the own the only number 11 ROSEBELL DE LUCAAAAA!" She comes running out the tunnel with her hair in her iconic two Dutch braids matching Hailey and omg is she more beautiful in person when I see her I'm am shell shocked.
"Nika your girl is BADDDDD!" Aubrey says and I snap my head to her. "SHE NOT MY GIRL...yet" I respond with a smile on my face. "Ladies to the middle!" Coach Geno yell and we all run to the middle and take our places. Here I am standing right infront of Rosie the girl I been obsessed with for months and she looks at me and smile omg I could melt right there. I smile back. "Hi" she say. OMG SHE SO CUTE OMGGG.
"Hey" I respond with a smile trying to sound nonchalant..key work trying. The refs throw up the ball and Paige knocks it back to me.
(Time skip to after the game) LSU 78 - UCONN 58
I was lowkey mad we lost that just because I'm really competitive but when I was storming off I hear someone from behind me. "Hey!" Her sweet little voice I could recognize anyway.
I turn around and meet with her beautiful face. "Hey what's up?" I say trying not to kiss her right then and there.
"I just wanted to tell you good game you played really good out there" Rosie says with a smile THAT smile that will be the death of me. "Oh you to you played super good!" I say absolutely freaking out in my mind. "Thank you!" Rosie says she obviously want to say something else and i want to say the same thing.
"Hey Rosie can I ask you a question." I'm actually mentally slapping myself right now what am I saying! "Yeah of course cutie!" CUTIE SHE CALLED ME CUTIE WHAT?!? I blush and decide to yolo it. "Can I get your number?" Rosie giggles. "Yes absolutely!" I let out a breath of relief. "Thank god I thought you would say no"
She looks at me like I just said the stupidest thing in the world. "What i would never say no to you" she smiles and hand me her phone. I take the phone with shaky hands smiling like an absolute fool. "There you go now you can text me whenever!" I say and she giggles and smiles up at me due to our height difference.
"Ok well I gotta go but I'll text you soon cutie!" She kissed my cheek. Yeah you heard me SHE KISSED MY CHEEK! I freeze then as she walking away I say in a shaky voice like a blushing idiot. "Bye Lijepa!" She turn around and wink at me "bye carina!" I look at her confused "what you thought you were the only one with a special language?!" She giggles and walk off into her locker room.
