Kintoru met Hiachi's mother, Futaomote near a cherry blossom tree. Futaomote had a mental disorder due to which she was impulsive and she abused her daughter. Sama told Futaomote hat if she consumed a spirit from her, she would successfully become "normal" and wouldn't have to face her burden ever again. After listening to what Kintoru had said, Futaomote accepted the deal that lead to her death and became a puppet of Kintoru.
