Two Days Later...

"Well it appears on the test results, Jaycon you are indeed pregnant." Dr. Korsiva said reading through chart sheets.

"How far along am I?" I asked. I was holding Shawn's hand and he was shaking more than I was.

"About 9 weeks along. You conceived maybe around December 27, and your due date will be around September 28." She said handing me a bottle of pills.

"What are these?" I looked at the different colored bottled.

"Those are your prenatal vitamins. Take one everyday and I'll see you back in a month." She then handed me an appointment card and left the room.

"You ready to go?" He asked helping me off the table.

"Yeah." We walked out of the room and back into the lobby where Tice was waiting on us.

"What they said? " Tice asked concerned as we walked to the car.

"I'm pregnant." I said getting in the front seat.

"I knew it." Tice said as Shawn started the the car and pulled off.

"Shut up Landon. Bae can we go by my mom's house?" I asked as Shawn pulled onto the interstate.

"Yeah. But after that I'm taking you home." He said and 15 minutes later we were in my moms driveway.

"Hey Lina. Where's mommy?" I asked walking into my moms house with Tice and Shawn behind me.

"She went to get Joey from the hospital. Where you been? Who is this?" She asked motioning to Tice.

"This my homie Tice. Tice this my sister Jalina."

"Wassup ma." He had a seat on the couch.

"Hey. What's wrong with ugmo?" She referred to Marshawn who was in the kitchen sitting to the bar alone.

"Stop calling him names Jalina." I went into the kitchen and sat in front of Shawn.

"You scared?" I asked rubbing his shoulders feeling the tension in them.

"Honestly? Yeah. You're carrying my seed. The type of lifestyle I live isn't safe for a newborn." he looked up to me and stated.

"There's only one thing to do then. Change you're lifestyle."

"It's not that easy Jaycon. I'm too deep into the game to just stop it. I got enough saved to be set for life but these type of things don't just go away like a cold." He played with my fingers across the table.

"I know babe but look at it this way. In a few months we'll have a baby here. It's not just about us. Would you rather keep him or her in danger all of the time or let them have an easy life? The choice is yours. But I'm here the whole way." I leaned over the table and placed a soft kiss on his nose. I got up and went back into the living room with Tice and Lina.

"Everything okay?" Jalina asked.

"I guess. What you doing Landon?" He was sitting in the other couch looking at his phone.

"Minding my business." He said sarcastically.

I threw a couch pillow at him. He looked up at me then gave me the finger. I pulled my phone from my pocket and texted my bestfriend.
