The sun was shining over her, she couldn't help but smile at it. Her hand waved at her father who had dragged her along to work.

She was on the top of the bleachers far from the pool of water at the dolphin show. She loved these, she just has always hated the splashes that could come at the crowd.

Gabby could remember a time when her aunt Cleo would be at the center of it tossing fish to the joyous creator. Now in the woman's place was her eldest daughter who looked like the image of her.

the girl held up her fist a fish tucked into it as a treat. The brunette Sertori-McCartney tossed the treat to the dolphin with a splash.

"Woah, that's a mermaid!"

"Is this part of the show?"

Gabby's eyes widened. "What?" Gabby knew that this was possible, I mean something like this had happened to her when she was like seven. "Cassidy!" she shouted, and it seemed like a good idea at the time.

Cameras followed the blonde girl to the top of the stand.

"Mom I wanna be a mermaid."

She was nervous almost freaking out at the sight before her. "Oh, look she's swimming with the dolphin!" Gabby hoped the girl got her cue. The blond looked to her father once again up in the sky box.

Gabby held her breath she knew she was going to feel bad about what she was going to do. The blonde mermaid lifted her hand thickening the water coating the viewers eyes. She didn't know if it would work, she hoped it did. she hoped it didn't hurt she believed it would feel like jell eye drops. "I'm sorry." She finally let herself jump into the water.

"Another mermaid." The little girl voice spoke again. She was the only person that Gabriella left with clear sight.

She turned in the water in seven seconds dragging Cassidy down to the sea gate. "We have to go!"

"I-" Cassidy looked around she didn't know what to do. "You?" The brunette tried to hold her breath in the water quickly realizing she actually didn't need to.

Gabby pulled up the small gate that let the water in for the sea animals.

The girls swam as close to The Sertori-McCartney home as they could get from the water.

"What the hell just happened?" The new mermaid asked out of breath trying to drag herself up. "One moment I'm working the-" Cassidy couldn't even think right now.

"Ahhhhh!" A scream echoed from inside the house.

Cassidy rolled over at the sound of her baby sister. "When do we lose the tail?" She asked the Hartly girl.

The blonde looked away. Gabby wasn't sure she could look at the girl knowing the truth would upset her. "When they dry."

"When they dry!"

She looked back to the girl. "I'm sorry Cass."

"Don't call me Cass." She was full of anger trapped on a rock with the most annoying girl on this side of the world to dry. To dry! she had to stay there where she couldn't help her sister to freaking dry.

"Okay." She took a sad breath. "Actually, is your mom home?"

Cassidy looked at the blonde weird "yeah."

"Then Raps is fine."

at the Sertori-McCartney home Rapunzel was in the bathroom running a bath at noon. Maybe it was a little too late into the day but at lease she was getting clean.

The young curly haired blonde girl was going back and forth from her bedroom to the bathroom holding some clothes up to herself to see how she looked and what she should wear for the day.

The youngest Sertori-McCartney smiled at the outfit she had chosen she would look nice. She hoped everyone else felt that way two.

She got into the bath and an odd feeling stirred in her stomach. Raps felt her mussels relax in the warm water she had a good day coming.

"Ahhhhh!" Raps opened her eyes to a bright coal orang tail.

The girl seemed to forget how to breath for a second. "Ahh! Mom!"

Her mother rushed to the door trying to push it open. "Darling what's wrong? The doors locked."

"I have a freaking tail."

Cleo almost laughed at her daughter. She has been in that predicament more times than she could count. "It's okay baby."

Rapunzel stared at the door it was not okay. "No it's not Mom. Did you not here me? I have a tail!"

Cleo made a hushed laugh. "Sometimes that just happens."

"Does not."

"Does to."

"Does not."

"Does to."

Raps threw her head back hitting the tub softly. "Mom, do you have a tail?"

"Not right now." Cleo spoke to the door.

"Momma this isn't a joke, help me."

"The door's locked." Cleo giggled.

The teen sighed at her mother. "Mom."

"Okay, Okay. unplug the drain Raps and throw yourself out of the tub. It may hurt baby."

there was a thud in the bathroom. "Ow."

"Now unlock the door I'll help you dry off."

She crawled to the door opening it slightly. "See mom tail."

"Rikki and Emma will love this story."

***

That was a couple of months ago when the world and the merfolk on land found out about these new mermaids. Pearlia was tasked to fix this people can't know and a merboy was seriously trying to avoid all this nonsense.
