Sushila was the first to wake up in the dormitory, the excitement of starting classes flowing through her veins. She got out of bed, careful not to wake up the other four, and padded towards the baths to get ready for the day.

As she dressed, her thoughts went to the people she'll be sharing the dorm with for the next seven years. There was Pansy Parkinson, a pureblood with short black hair and a rather pug like face, which came across as a little snobby, to say the least.

Then there was Daphne Greengrass, another pureblood, with straight blonde hair and a pretty face, she was  level-headed and considerate, which Sushila liked about her.

Then there was Millicent Bullstrode, a pureblood girl with a heavy built and a slight grimace on her face. Sushila didn't get to talk to her much, but made a mental note to not get into any fights with her.

The fourth girl was a half-blood, with tan skin and wavy chocolate-coloured hair, with the name of Isabelle Morales. She looked friendly to be with, but she didn't talk much either.

Sushila went back into the dorm to get her books for the day. She was alloted the bed between Isabelle and the wall on the farthest end, which she liked because it gave her a bit of privacy.

"Hullo," A voice spoke from behind her, and Sushila jumped, whirling around to see Isabelle standing there, a curious look on her face.

"Hey," Sushila said, gathering her stuff. "Isabelle, right?"

"Yup, that's me," The other girl said with a hint of an accent. "You're all dressed," She observed.

Sushila shrugged. "I thought it'd be better without everyone declaring war over the baths."

Isabelle snorted. "I guess you have a point," She wrung her hands slightly before leaning in. "You wouldn't mind waiting a few more minutes, would you? I was hoping for some company when we go to the Great Hall..."

Sushila looked surprised for a moement, before she nodded with a smile. "Sure, no problem."

The brunette grinned. "Thanks!" She gathered her stuff and headed towards the bathroom. "I'll be back in two!"

"Can't you keep it down?" Pansy, who'd woken up from their bickering, grumbled as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes.

"Sorry," Sushila said, slinging her bag over her shoulder. "But I'd suggest you get ready too. Breakfast starts in half an hour."

"Don't tell me what to do," Pansy scowled, flopping back on the bed and drawing the curtains.

"Suit youself," Sushila muttered.

She and Isabelle made their way to the Great Hall, where the latter found the prefect handing out the time tables.

"Oh look, we have History of Magic and Potions with the Gryffindors," Isabelle said, her eyes skimming over the timetable.

"That's not so bad," Sushila said, looking at her own timetable. She then looked at the Gryffindor table, where Harry and Ron had just sat down.

"Just a minute," She said, padding over to the Gryffindor table.

Snape watched from the teacher's table as Sushila approached Potter and Weasley at the Gryffindor table. He'd seen her enter the hall with the Morales girl, and hoped she'd stay clear of Potter's house, but no, Sushila just had to go to that table.

They seemed to have a slightly heated exchange, as Weasley and Sushila were frowning at each other, and Potter was trying to play peace-maker.

This is going to be a long year. Snape pinched the bridge of his nose, watching as Sushila sulked back to her table, rubbing her damn wrist again.
