Akimitsu and Shuto left the class together after their small talk, and that became the talk of the town.
Because the entire class never saw Shuto together with someone for years... They were so adapted to see him all alone, wearing a "no-expression" face, chatting with nobody, and leaving the class at the very end.
He became a great example to define "depression" for them.
Don't think they were mean; they did try to get close to him (one of the reasons being his grades), but they did... they did show him courtesy and kindness that he rejected, not arrogant yet not politely.
So him with Akimitsu, a new student, and unveiling those calm expressions rather than a poker face—that really surprised them.
On the contrary, the actual scenario was more like Akimitsu (without saying a word) following Shuto than those two getting along. Well...but the fact that Shuto gave him attention and was having a hard time pushing him away was more amusing.
Who knows what made Shuto go out of his way to approach Chino, and who knows what made a reserved, introverted guy like Akimitsu go around seeking attention from Shuto?
Another day at Nada ends... But...with a little bit of spice. A girl was waiting outside the Nada Boys School with a beautiful handmade card... She was pretty, but more cute than pretty.
Everybody at Nada knew for whom she was there, and they were all well aware of the fact that a salty rejection was awaiting for her.
She was like one of the many girls projecting herself, filling colors into Shuto's life...
