Later that evening, Kaira sat at the dining table, her mind still reeling from the day's events. Her parents entered the room, their expressions filled with warmth, but Kaira could sense a shift in the atmosphere. They had been aware of her new position, but now, she had something significant to share.

"Kaira, how was your day?" her mother asked, setting down a pot of steaming tea.

"It was... intense," Kaira replied, her voice shaky. She took a deep breath, knowing she had to tell them. "I met a patient today. His name is Rohan Verma."

Her parents exchanged a glance, their faces paling slightly. "Rohan?" her father repeated, his voice barely above a whisper. "You mean..."

"Yes," she confirmed, feeling the weight of the moment settle heavily around them. "He's the one who lost his memory after the accident. He didn't even recognize me."

Her mother's hands trembled as she poured the tea. "This is what we feared," she said softly. "That he would come back into your life in this way."Her Dad sighed deeply"We didn't want to burden you while you were settling in... but Rohan woke up from his coma a while ago."

Kaira was shocked would be an understatement "What? You knew? Why didn't you tell me?"

Veena's voice trembled "We thought it would be too painful for you. You were just starting to find your footing again."

Kaira (voice rising) "Painful? You should have let me decide that! He's my past... I deserve to know!

Her Dad intervened, " We were trying to protect you, Kaira. We didn't want to disrupt your life there."

Kaira was frustrated "Protect me from what? The truth? Rohan is a part of my life, whether you believe it or not!"

"We were scared, Kaira. We didn't know how you would react. We wanted to wait until you were ready."veena said tearing up

"Ready? You think I'd ever be ready for something like this? I feel betrayed." Kiara stoRod up

"Please, listen. We love you and just wanted to make sure you were okay." Her dad requested

"You should have trusted me to handle it. Now I don't know what to feel. I need some time to think."

Kaira's Mom reaching out said "Kaira, we're so sorry..."

"I can't right now." She storms out of the living .
Finally their Fear was a reality now.

Few hours later Kiara realised her parents didn't deserve that shouting and she went to apologise to them.

"I know," Kaira replied, her heart aching. "I thought about him every day, but seeing him like that... it was overwhelming. He's changed so much, and yet I felt that connection."

"But he doesn't remember you," her father pointed out, concern etched on his face. "That's the reality now."

"I understand that," Kaira said, frustration bubbling beneath the surface. "But it's more than just the memories. There's something about him that still feels familiar. I want to help him, but I don't know if it's the right thing to do."

Her mother reached out, placing a comforting hand on Kaira's. "You have to be careful, dear. This could open old wounds for both of you. What if he can't handle the truth about your past together?"

"I worry about too," Kaira admitted. "But if I can help him recover."

Her father sighed heavily. "Kaira, it's not just about you. It's about Rohan and the life he's built since waking up. "
