Chapter:9

Ruhi was in her room in Kapoor Mansion. She was sitting infront of mirror getting ready for her engagement with Ved.

Ruhi's POV

Today is my engagement with my best friend Ved. I know he don't love me nor I do. But with time we both will slowly except each other. Abhi and Di will live happily forever. When today morning Di came everyone was so happy but why didn't Abhi came to meet her. She was waiting for him. For me the days I spent woth abhi were memorable and best days of my life. He was so nice to me all these days unlike before marriage. He use to take care of my every small thing. After that night when he kissed me I intentionally ignored him as I don't want to fall for him again when I know that we can never be together. I am happy seeing him happy for me even that's enough.

Ruhi's POV ends.

Her train of thoughts broke when anjali comes in. She sees her through mirror and turns to her.

"Mom." Ruhi says with a smile.

Anjali goes to her and makes her sit on bed and herself sits beside her.

"Ruhi you are not doing this right.."

"What happened mom? Why are you saying like this?"

"Abhi loves you not Nisha. I know my child.." She says making Ruhi shocked but before she could speak further ahanna and Kajal comes inside to take Ruhi down for engagement with them.

Only family was present in this engagement not any outsider. Mansion was simple still beautifully decorated.

Abhi was standing with everyone  in living room. He seemed like a lifeless body. His eyes were red like he cried whole night.

He looks up at staircases when he feels Ruhi's presence. He sees her coming down. He slightly smiled seeing her she looked beautiful. Even Ruhi sees at him they both share a small sad eyelock. Everyone else was happy seeing Ruhi and Nisha.

Ruhi goes and stands beside Ved but could feels Abhi's intense gaze over her. Nisha runs and hugs Abhi but he just continues to look at her and does not hug nisha back. Everyone was busy in talking to each other.

Nisha"I missed you so much Abhi. Look now I am back.." She continued to speak but Abhi was not interested in hearing her single word. He just stared Ruhi. Nisha breaks the hug. And snakes her hand around his arms. While Ruhi and abhi continues to looks in each others eyes. Ruhi advert her gaze seeing going to kiss Abhi's palm. A lone tear escapes her eyes and she wipes it out before anyone could observe but it didn't remain unnoticed by Abhi. Nisha was going to kiss Abhi palm but he removes his hand from her hold.

"Nisha stop touching me. " Abhi shouts. "I am not your husband."

Nisha gets shocked hearing him as he never shouted at her. Everyone looks at them.

Atul says "Let's start the engagement" he says to change the atmosphere.

Everyone agrees. Kajal gives ring to Abhi and asks him to make it ware to Nisha. Abhi gets confused. He never said yes for marriage. He takes the ring and looks at his mom. He takes Nisha's hand in his and look at her. He turns her hand and puts ring on his palm and makes a fist. Everyone looks at him in shock as well as confusing. Even Ruhi and Nisha.

"I cannot marry you" Abhi says making everyone shocked.

"Abhi.." Nisha whispers.

"Abhi what are you saying?" Kajal says.

"Kajal aunty you heard me right, I can't marry your daughter." He stated.

"But Abhi.." Rishab said only to cut by Abhi.

"Uncle I am not completed let me speak now." Abhi says and Rishab shuts his mouth.

"What do you think of yourself Nisha. You can anytime leave me and then comeback. Look I don't feel bad that you left not even a bit. I don't care you are present here or not. I feel is for Ruhi. Ruhi is the only girl i ever loved in my life."(Ruhi sees at him with wide eyes when he says those words)"Nisha for you your career is more important than your family. Whatever as I said i don't care. Only because Ruhi is not in my life doesn't means I can marry someone else. Sorry but I cannot give her position to anyone else in my life. No one no Nisha or any other girl." He literally yells at all. Anjali was happy.

"Abhi..but.." Ruhi says but Abhi shows him his hand.

Abhi"Ruhi..don't, don't say anything. I am not a thing but your husband how can you sacrifice me for someone else. What do you think of yourself. I am husband damn. You want to become a very great human by sacrificing and all. Don't you care about my feelings. "

"But you never said that you loved me." She says innocently.

"And you guessed whatever you wanted to right. " Abhi says and continues while looking at everyone " I know I hurted you all and I am sorry for that but I won't be ever able to keep Nisha happy as Ruhi will always be in my heart. I'll always just love her. She mean my breath to me. I'll be happy seeing her happy. I'll live thinking that thought not with me but she is happy and living a beautiful life. I will never be able to give her place to anyone in my life." He says with teary eyes and leaves the mansion. All look at him as he goes out.

Ved"Ruhi I know even you love Abhi, just go to him Ruhi. Only he can keep you happy. And you know well that I never believe in commitment or marriage after death of my parents nor do I love you no one will be happy if you marry me. Just go."

Ruhi sees at him with smile and teary eyes. She looks at her mom dad for conformation they both nod with a smile and she smiled and runs back of Abhi. Anjali was super happy now.

Ruhi runs out and goes to RM he sees Abhi standing in garden. She smiles and softly calls out his name "Abhi.." Abhi hears her and thinks it to be his imagination but he again hears her calling him. He turns an finds her standing right infront of him.

"Ruhi.." He whispers while forrowing his brows in confusion.

"I am sorry Abhi." She says making Abhi smile sadly.

"No Ruhi you no need to be now you and Ved.." Abhi says with heavy heart and sad smile.
Ruhi cuts him.

"I am sorry, I love you.." Ruhi stated directly.

"Ruhi I said na.." then he realises what she said. He gets happy an shocked as well. He moves close to her and holds her by her shoulders.

"What did you say?" Abhi says not believing his ears.

"I am sorry.." Ruhi says with a pout. Abhi cups her face "Ruhi after that."

"I love you.." Ruhi said and happy takes her in a bone crushing hug. Ruhi hugs him back. He kisses her temple. He breaks the hugs an cups her face again. "Ruhi say one more.." Abhi says kissing her cheeks. "I love you.." Abhi kisses her both cheeks and then all over her face. He cries hugging her tightly.
"I love you even more." Ruhi gets happy hearing him and standing on her toes she kisses his cheeks.
They hear someone clearing their throat and looks in direction of voice breaking their hug. They see full family standing there smiling at them.

Nisha" I a. Sorry Abhi, I am really really sorry Ruhi I know because of me you need to bare all this."

Ruhi"no Di.."

Nisha"no Ruhi let me speak in real if I say I never loved Abhi. It was just an attraction and nothing else. And Abhi I am sorry for everything.. I left you.."

Abhi"no Nisha don't be sorry if you didn't leave me that day I would have never got Ruhi so thank you.." all smile at his statement.

"Now if everything is set then let's have a family photo." Arav say and everyone stand taking there places agreeing with him.

They all click lot Many pics. And one pic of full family together.

Abhi hugs Ruhi tightly during one family pic and so does Arav and Ahanna seeing their daughters so happy.
