𝐻𝑜𝓉 𝒴𝑜𝑔𝓊𝓇𝓉?

Recently, there has been a number of burglaries happening in Swellview. Charlotte did some research and it turns out that the people who were getting burglarised have recently been on the game show Spin and Win. So, Ray decided we are gonna put Henry on the show and hopefully, if he wins, they'll be able to catch the burglars.

Ray, Charlotte and Gooch were getting Henry ready for the show. They called to tell me to meet them there because we got backstage passes. I had just gotten a call from Jasper asking me to go with him. Apparently Henry told his dad and Piper that they could come and Jasper overheard and wanted to go too.

When I got there, Charlotte and I were walking around backstage when I saw Derek and Maddy. Their father hosted the show so apparently they worked here. I didn't know them very well but Derek was in my pottery class last year. He tried to ask me out a few times but I wasn't interested.

"Hey, guys." I said to them as Charlotte tagged along. "Oh, hey Y/N. I didn't expect to see you here." Derek replied. "Well, this is my friend Charlotte." I introduced, but he eyed her slightly before hesitantly shaking her hand. "Uh, It must be fun having a dad who's the host of a cool game show."

"Yeah, it's so great."

"We just love being forced to work here while our friends get to go out and have fun."

"Uh, what are those buttons for? Do they make the prize wheel spin?" Charlotte asked curiously.

"Um, I' hoping this button makes you walk away." Derek responded in agitation as he pressed a random button.

"Well." Charlotte said clearly offended.

"Something tells me they don't like working here. I just can't put my finger on it." I said to Charlotte after we were far away from the siblings. She chuckled in response before asking "What if Henry doesn't win?"

"Yeah. We need a backup plan." She nodded in agreement. "I hate myself for this but...I'll ask Derek for ice cream or something. Maybe he knows something."

"No offence, Y/N, but he doesn't seem like the type to say yes to that. Besides, he doesn't know you."

"Unfortunately, that's where you'd be wrong. He was in my pottery class last year. I mean we weren't exactly friends but from what I've heard he did like me for a while."

"No way! Did you guys ever go out?"

"What, no. I hardly knew him. Even if I did, I would've already told you."

"Right. I forgot you're the type to be in love with your best friend." she teased.

"Oh, shut up."

"Did you guys see anything suspicious?" We heard Ray ask. "Not exactly. Wait where have you been?"

"He was flirting with the prize girls." Charlotte said with an eye roll.

"Hey. I was checking for suspicious activity." he defended as I shook my head.

"Well, Y/N, is gonna ask Derek out and try to find out if he knows anything."

"Who the hell is Derek?" Ray asked. "He's this guy that-" I started before I heard a message on my phone. "Oh shit I gotta go." I said to Ray and Charlotte. "Wait, what's wrong?"

"Jasper broke his nose and he's at the hospital."

"How the hell did he break his nose?"

"Piper hit him with her selfie stick."

"No way. Piper got a selfie stick?"

"I know right. Well, I'm gonna go check on him. Let's just hope Henry wins this thing."
