It was about seven months after the Ghostface attacks in New York. A notification had buzzed on your phone and your face lit up at the thumbnail.

The Five Nights at Freddy's movie finally had a trailer! You were pretty excited. While you weren't really a fan of horror, the lore of FNAF had drawn you in.

You even went as far as playing all the games to catch up and experience them for yourself. It was a no brainer you were going to see the movie.

So that brought up the next problem. You wanted to go and see the movie with Tara, but you were nervous about asking her out.

You had been in your room researching ways to ask a girl out when Tara walked in and plopped herself over your legs.

"I'm boorreed.," Tara groaned, a sound that exemplified her boredom from her very soul.

"Why are you running to me then?," you asked chuckling.

Tara giggled and rolled onto her stomach, still over your legs. "Because I'd rather be bored with you than bored alone."

"Well, there's a movie that's coming out tomorrow. Do you wanna go with me?," you asked.

Tara crawled up the bed, getting closer to you. The freckles across her nose came into focus, along with her wide smirk. "Go with you? Sure, it's about time you asked me."

You pulled out your phone and went to YouTube. "What are you doing?" Tara asked.

"Well, if we're going to see the movie, we've got to help you catch up." You pulled up a compilation you made of Game Theory videos about FNAF, in order of publication.

Timeskip

Over the course of the next week, you and Tara would rewatch several videos to familiarize yourselves with the FNAF lore.

Now it was October 27th and you were ready to go. You checked your clothes in the mirror and brushed your hair a second time, just hoping this date would go well.

"Tara, get your jacket, we got an hour before the movie.," you urged.

A minute later, Tara exited her room in a pink jacket. "Ready."

The two of you left and got on the subway to the theater. What the two of you didn't know was Sam was following the two of you. While she knew you wouldn't hurt Tara, a part of her wanted to make sure.

You and Tara made your way to the theater and purchased your tickets, as well as a bucket of popcorn and two drinks. Sam followed you two into the theater to your seats, taking care to choose a seat in the back to avoid detection.

Tara asked,"Do you think the movie will be any good?"

"I hope so. We've been waiting 8 years for this movie." Tara lifted the arm rest and grabbed your arm, placing it around her shoulders.

You thought the 8-bit opening with the kids being lured by Springtrap was pretty cool.

Sam continued to watch the two of you as the movie began. The movie was pretty good and you were actually impressed with the story and the animatronics.

When Golden Freddy bit Max in half, Tara jumped a little in your arms. "Are you okay?," you whispered.

Tara snuggled into you as the third act began. While you were trying to focus on Tara and the movie, you couldn't shake the feeling you were being watched.

You turned around trying to spy anyone out of the ordinary, but almost everyone was facing forward. Except for one person who was mainly looking in your direction.

You recognized it was Sam when a particular scene caused the theater room to lighten up.

Sam seemed to notice you saw her because she quickly ducked her head back down. You wondered if you should tell Tara about Sam but decided to wait until you got home.

You refocused on the movie as Mike, Abbey, and Vanessa finally defeated Springtrap and the other animatronics dragged William to the back as the pizzeria collapsed.

The two of you exited the movie theater. "How was it since you know more about FNAF than I do?," Tara asked.

"It could use some improvement, but I had a lot of fun. Especially since I got to see it with you." They definitely had to make a sequel.

Tara looped her fingers with yours as you exited the theater as she smiled up at you. "I definitely enjoyed seeing the movie with you too."

"Well, what do you say to us maybe going on a second date?," you asked nervously. You looked up and spied Sam hurrying pass in a crowd, probably trying to beat the two of you home.

"I would love to.," Tara answered. If this date was fun, she couldn't wait for the second one.
