A/N: I've most likely ran this chapter idea in my head many times so, hopefully it comes out better than in my head. Enjoy.

Billie's POV:

I look at Lilith as she also looks at me, while Mara claps along with her. For a second, in her eyes, I could almost assume that she remembers me. Although, I don't get ahead of myself. I snap myself out of it quickly, as I look at the crowd.

"Thank you for coming everyone," I say as the audience cheers. "I hope your enjoying everything so far, I hope I wasn't keeping y'all waiting," I say as I smile.

"This album alone has all the best and the worst, I would say in my opinion. And honestly this will probably be my favorite album for a while until I come out with the next, and so on. I really hope you guys enjoy it as much as me and Finneas did creating it. Unfortunately, he couldn't be here with us tonight," I say as the crowd responds in awes. "I know, I know. Regardless, this experience is for you guys, and for the fans when the album drops in," I look at the DJ and he shows me the time. "Fifteen seconds, holy shit guys," I say as the crowd cheers again. I laugh and smile at their reaction.

"Alright y'all, count it down with me," I say and as I do, we all start counting down, and once the timer goes off, confetti cannons go off as everybody cheers. I laugh before introducing the first song.

"This is Chihiro," I say as I hand the DJ the microphone as he cues the song. I walk off the stage as I see all the other guests continuing their mingling. As I do, I'm met up with Lucy, Jake, and V.

"Hey guys!" I say as V immediately hugs me. She hasn't seen me since I got sent to rehab so, I was very much looking forward to seeing her.

"Good god you are glowing! How are you?" V asks me as Jake goes in for a hug as well. I hug him before answering V's question.

"I'm good! I'm in a good spot, genuinely. But most importantly I really fucking missed you guys," I say with enthusiasm.

"We missed you Bil. I gotta give it to you, this party is amazing," Jake mentions and I smile at his reaction.

"Give all the credit to Lucy, she's the one that made it happen," Lucy immediately cuts me off.

"Oh please, you had the ideas," Lucy says with a smile as I laugh with her.

"By the way, have you guys seen Lilith anywhere? I saw her in the crowd, but I lost her," 

"Oh yeah, she's towards the back near the pool, I believe she came with Mara," V mentions casually.

I recall her, but it's been a hot minute since I've worked with her, maybe a couple of years even.

"Lilith brought her as her plus one," V adds, I raise an eyebrow in interest.

"How did they meet?" I ask V, as V raises her eyebrows in shock.

"I'm surprised you don't remember. Mara was at your last party, before, you know," V mentions. My memory is blurry for a second before everything starts to click.

"Ah shit," I mutter with a hint of embarrassment. "Yeah, I remember. Are they like, friends now or what?" They all look at one another. Almost like I missed a memo. I was instantly confused.

"You can say that," Jake takes a sip of his drink nonchalantly. 

"How so?" I add as I start to take in his words. They made my stomach twist in a sharp knot. 

I knew the feeling too well, but to be jealous? Why would I be jealous? It wasn't fair.

But at the same time, I didn't even get a chance to redeem myself to Lilith. And suddenly, I have competition? The thought alone started to make me spiral, but I was brought back to Lucy speaking up.
