I Want To Live

The sunny-warm morning was carried on by the flattering breeze of air.And to top it off, bird's chirping felt like melody to the ears in this calm environment. But it didn't feel like anything special only to Hiah who was sitting alone in the hospital bed and was staring outside as per his daily routine.

Hiah was thinking about earlier. When he woke up before sunrise and discovered a face that he didn't expect to see, Yana. He found her sleeping beside him resting her head on the bed, he didn't want to wake her up, so he didn't. Only stared at her face with some unknown feelings until he fell asleep again.
And when he woke up again, she wasn't there anymore. He felt like it was a dream.But he knew it wasn't, because the bed still had marks of someone resting there.

"Hello" Yana's voice dragged him down to reality again. He looked at the door.
Yana came with hot porridge "Time to eat" she put the pot down on the side table first to let it cool down a bit and sat on the chair herself.

"How are you feeling now?" She asked with a warm smile.

"Better" Hiah's simple answer.

"Hmm? You must tell if you feel any discomfort okay? Don't underestimate even any small uncomfortableness,you are not like our typical patients, you know that too, right?"

Hiah nodded with a slight smile.

"mmm....Hiah,can i ask..abot,how..how is uncle and aunt? Do you know anything about them? " Yana asked carefully, observing Hiah's expressions.

Hiah's face turned a bit gloomy before he shook his head.

"When did you contact them last?"

"Fourty five days ago" he answered quietly.

Yana thought "You even know the exact days" and asked again "Don't you want to contact them? Won't they be worried?"

Hiah shook his head, not sure which one he disagreed with but his complexion didn't seem so good.

Yana observed every single frown and even how his eye changed expressions, from worried to fear to disgust.

But after a while,surprising Yana Hiah looked up at her with a smile and said "Mom dad won't worry. They must be thinking i'm still in a business trip now"

Yana gently trapped her pointing finger on the corner of Hiah's smiling lips " I forbade you to laugh, why won't you listen? I don't mind if you are actually happy, but.... You don't even mean it, i will get angry if you do that again" she slowly started caressing his chin "you have bandage on your cheek too, don't you know that?"even though she said she would get angry, but there was rather only worry in her voice.

Hiah, averting his gaze slowly pulled his head away from Yana's touch.

Not being surprised, Yana also took her hand back before taking the porridge with one hand and took spoon with other hand. She blowed the spoonful porridge to cool it down quickly before holding the spoon near Hiah's mouth.

Hiah didn't take that, rather looked at her with confusion and asked " You? Where's the nurse?"

"The nurse will come later"

Hiah accepted the spoon obediently, but his words weren't so obedient "You have so much time even as a doctor that you can feed the patient personally?"

Yana laughed "You didn't really understand what the nurse told you yesterday,did you?I only come here for critical patients,i'm not a full time doctor here. There's many more doctors here for normal patients" she continued feeding him "To be honest i can give my whole day to you, because there isn't any other patient like you yet, so you can say i am your personal doctor now, but i still go to check up on others. It feels bad to stay still when i know that someone is in pain and i can actually do something. So, you can rest assured"
