In the thick, verdant heart of the Amazon rainforest, where the sky vanishes beneath a tangle of green, siblings Mac and Lily Houghton made camp. The air hummed with the promise of the unknown, the scent of wet earth and mystery filling their lungs as they prepared for the final leg of their journey. This was no ordinary expedition—it was a search for the legendary Moon Tears, a plant said to grant immortality. But the siblings weren't looking for eternal life. Not exactly.

Lily adjusted the straps of her backpack and glanced at her older brother. "Are you sure this is the right place? It's just... trees."

Mac, a physicist with an insatiable curiosity, looked up from his journal. His wire-rimmed glasses reflected the soft glow of the setting sun. "It's more than trees, Lil. You know that. The readings I've taken—there's something here. Something that doesn't belong. Something outside of our reality."

They had been tracking anomalies in the jungle for months—genetic mutations in plants, animals that seemed to exist in two places at once. All of it pointed to one thing: the Moon Tears. Not just a plant, but a multi-dimensional organism that linked worlds, a network connecting life across space and time. "I don't care about readings," Lily said, pacing. "I care about finding something real. Something tangible."

"That's the thing," Mac murmured, closing his journal. "It might not be real—at least, not in the way we understand reality."
