Chapter 3 : They wished for a miracle.(½ )

Panic. She of all people was panicking.

Not really that surprising anymore, she's nothing but a mere husk of the former Herrscher she used to be. Where she was the Herald of Honkai, now but a weak, disgusting lonely girl.

Those words resonated deep in her 'soul'

There were so many things that plagued her mind, such as.. Was this new world her new cage for the next eternity? Or will that...

"I am Welt of Humanity!"

...Old foe of hers, rescue her alongside "Himeko? She dared hope.

However, there were other things they needed to be prioritized as a reason for stress.

Namely, free fall.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA—" "CAAAAAAAAAAAAAW—"

Oh, and she still holding onto the bird.

Sirin tossed and turned around in the air, falling at an increasingly alarming speed. Her long volume of hair flutters wildly by the speed she's going, the air feels suffocating because of her current altitude, Herrscher or not falling from this height would be incredibly lethal, it would be outright deadly if she were to continue panicking.

She needed to calm down, she needed to calm down!

Oh if it only was that easy.

"FLYFLYFLYFLYFLYFLYLFLYFLY- FFFLLLYYYYYYYY!" Sirin desperately kept trying to push out what remaining Honkai Reserves she had in her fragile body, hoping it would at least slow down her fall by a little.

It was childish, completely out of character. But she didn't care anymore, seeing the ground coming closer and widening with each second was enough to bring outright terror into her. But right now, she was flapping her arms like an idiot thinking it would help.

It wasn't. Not. One. Bit!

With the wind howling, she was quickly surpassing terminal velocity as she falls, it was also starting to suffocate her due to the lack of oxygen properly entering her lungs. Had she spread her body flat, she would have been able to slow down her fall, however due to her extreme state of panic, any rational thinking went forgo with everything going around her.

A small spittle of tears started leaking out of her eyes as she screamed while falling, the longer she looked down the closer the ground was slowly approaching to embrace her.

"...No! Not like this!" Sirin grit, finally getting her bearings back. With a flex of her body, she twisted around and spread her body wide. It wouldn't slow down her already rapid descent, however it did help her focus as she stretched her arm directly towards the ground.

Her hand contracted and spasmed in pain. Sirin grunted in agony and kept pushing her body, trying to squeeze whatever Honkai was left in her body, multiple superficial wounds started opening from her outstretched arm, with blood flying off from her.

Sirin felt her consciousness slowly seeping away, it was already bad that she was incredibly fatigued from latching onto the Express, but hitting the damn space train and barely having any rest drained whatever energy she had.

Twenty more seconds and she'd hit the ground, she needed to push even more, push her body once again just to extract anything to save her life. She wasn't gonna take a gamble on what will become of her once she hits the ground, she knew remnants of her Herrscher physiology and physical strength was still there, but sometimes gravity proved superior.
