Knuckles and Shadow were at the alter in holy chains as they try to struggle out.
But that was when Espio said to them, "Don't even try. Struggling is pointless boys. If you even try getting free you'll be scarred with the crosses in the chains."
Shadow replied angrily, "You won't get away with this you religious assholes!"
Vector protested, "Hey this is a church! Watch your fowl mouths you fowl demons!"
Espio whispered, "I told you we shoulda shoved garlic in their mouths."
Vector replied, "They're demons Espio! Not vampires."
Shadow rolls his eyes while and asked, "Well whatcha gonna do about it you religious jerks?"
Espio answered as he got out the cross knife, "We are going to stab you both til you both are weak and then we'll put your bodies in holy water until you both can no longer move!!"
Shadow and Knuckles growled but they knew they were in trouble.
Knuckles whispered, "Come on Shadow lit up a fire or something or we are screwed."
Shadow replied, "I can't these holy chains have weakened my demon powers."
Espio walked out for a bit as he looked around.
That was when 3 figures walked to them and one of them asked, "Excuse me. Can I make a confession?"
Espio 'sensing nothing wrong' asked, "What do you want to confess child of God?"
The figure sniffs and said, "I-I killed someone."
Espio 'in shock at this' asked, "Who did you ki...!?"
That was when he felt a sharp pain through his chest as a male voice said, "We killed you..."
(Meanwhile)
Vector waited for Espio but he didn't show up as he growled and said, "He really is taking his time. I'll start the execution of these demons with or without you. I'll hunt down the girl later."
He then ordered a few of the churchman to held Knuckles and Shadow by their feet as they struggled.
Vector then said 'holding his cross knife', "Time to end you demonic abominations once and for..."
He trailed off as he sniffed the air as he asked the churchmen, "Hey whatcha cooking in the church kitchen at this hour?"
One of the churchmen answered, "I dunno. Besides the kitchen staff has gone home for the day."
But that was when one of the churchmen that was holding Shadow suddenly caught on fire as flower petals appeared and set him on fire and he screamed.
That was when Shadows chains were slashed off by a sphere of fire as he felt his hands.
Then not long after, the church was set on fire as Vector looked around.
One of the churchmen screamed, "ITS HELLFIRE!!"
The remaining churchmen panicked before one got deflated like a balloon, the second was slashed in half, and the third one got slashed into a few pieces and turned to ash.
That was when Knuckles chains got burned up as they stood up.
The church was burning to the ground as Vector tried to find where the demons are.
That was when Knuckles asked right behind Vector, "Where's your God now you piece of homophobic shit?!"
He then went through Vectors chest and yanked his heart out as Shadow twisted his head backwards.
Knuckles squashed his heart before they hid their true forms as they rushed out.
They saw the church was in flames Shadow asked, "Damn. Was that necessary to burn the church down?"
Knuckles replied in a questioned tone, "Wait. I didn't do it. I thought you did."
Shadow and Knuckles realized it wasn't even one each as Shadow asked, "Wait if I didn't do it and you didn't do it. Then in the fucking bloody hell saved our asses from behind melted in the holy water?"
A familiar voice answered from behind as they looked behind, "We did."
