The Past

Your pov.

After few days

I was here at the stadium as the boys were practicing and suddenly shubman fell down as I got shocked as I rushed towards him, no I can't get late, not after what all happened. I sat down beside him as ro jiju, and vi Bhai were here as everyone came running as tears filled my eyes.

You:w-what happened to him, shubman!

I said as I took his head on my lap, patting on his face. The team doctor came as she started checking his pulse.

You: what happened doctor shree? Tell me pl-please.
Rohit:calm down bubs, vi hold her she is getting panic attacks .
You:n-no please no
Shree:y/n ,calm down, nothing happened to him, he is skipping his food , and he has been practicing alot it seems , he has fever for now, let's get him shifted to the resting room

Shubman was taken to the resting room as I went behind him, as he was laid down on the bed as I sat down on the stool. He opened his eyes slowly as I was holding his hand.

Shubman:what, am i-i doing here?
Shree:shubman do you feel weak?.
Shubman:not much.
Shree:you fainted.

He nodded as he looked at me.

Shubman:why are you crying
*Worried*

I realised that my tears were falling down, as I wiped my tears shaking my head

You: something went in my eyes , are you okay?
Shubman:yes!
Rohit: shubman take rest! You are skipping your meals right! Didn't I tell you not to skip your meals! And you are practicing continuously!
Virat:yeah, y/n got so worried, she was having panick attac- shit!
You:bhai!
Shubman:she was having panic attacks?

He got up sitting in the bed as I got up.

Shubman:why?
You:I was scared
*Low voice*
Rohit:guys we can talk about it later , get rest first shubman!
Shubman:ahh ouch.

I looked at shree as she was going to insert a cannula.

Shree:sorry sorry, you moved your hand so suddenly.
Shubman:naah it's fine.

He held my hand tightly as my hands were sweaty from holding his hands for some minutes straight .

Shree: we'll just give you some IV, for your fever to subside , and please have your meals , don't skip your meals.
You:why did you even skip your meals? Are you mad shubman! Why?
Shubman:y/n!

I closed my eyes as I slowly breathed.

You:bhai can you guys leave!
Shubman:huh?
You:I need to talk to shubman about my past!
Rohit:y/n-
You:jiju I know you didn't tell him everything about my past please leave!
Rohit: alright, but be calm okay!
You: I will.

The boys left , as I looked at shubman , my eyes again turning teary.

You: so let me tell you everything from the start.

He looked at me as I started telling him everything.

Flashback, year 2016.

I was 16 years old ,when I first met him,
Priyansh. And I had a small crush on him when I just got to know about him. He was the kindest boy ever , and the bestest human being I ever met. And one day out of a dare given by a junior I told him, but he laughed it off. Soon enough that small crush turned into love, and hence I again confessed to him but he friendzoned me as I was left heartbroken, but we were still good friends, and after a month or so I got ill , and I was not in the condition to even talk due to high fever as he came to meet me and took care of me. And soon enough he accepted his feelings and mine too. We were the ideal couple everyone would talk about. His way of caring, loving, and affection, everything was different which made me fall for him more and more. One day I asked him what about me made him love him and he said.

Priyansh: you know, I was like I want her, when she can put this much effort how can I deny my feelings, the poems you wrote for me caught my heart! Y/n, promise us we will never leave eachother.
You:never priyansh! How could you even think I would leave you! Huh! When I waited for you for three freaking years.
Priyansh:I know and I love you.
You:I love you too!
Priyansh:y/n listen carefully, if I die someday-
You:priyansh!
Priyansh: please listen to me , please give my place to someone else , I couldn't do the justice, I rejected you twice but you still loved me even despite knowing my flaws ,my imperfections, everything y/n! Promise me you'd moge on and open your heart for someone else to stay forever!
You:priyansh no , don't say like that!
Priyansh: please!

He looked at me as my eyes were teary.

You:why are you telling me all this?

I asked curious , as he held my hands.

Priyansh:you know lately I wasn't feeling well!
You:yes , what did the doctor say?
Priyansh: leave it, I love you.

He said as he kept his head on my shoulder as ....

And before we knew he fainted as I called di, bhai ,my mother father, everyone possible. His mother and father were gone as I called them when we reached hospital. I was just 19 I didn't knew what to do.

And the thing I never expected happened, he left me, he left us. I still regret the day I didn't went to the hospital with him. The day I fought with him and decided not to talk, how he fainted and his friends took him to the hospital, and I wasn't there. I still remember the day he left us, I holding his hands, crying, thinking all of it was my fault.

Flashback ends.

As I finished telling him he already had taken me to his embrace ,as tears left my eyes , as my hands clutched on his shirt.

You:I don't want to lose you shubman, my heart feels in peace when I am with you shubman! Please don't leave me!
Shubman:I would never y/n , never!

He said his voice breaking as he took my face in his hand ,and wiped my tears.

You:and I don't want my past to affect anything, as he said, I moved on, no one can forget the person they once used to love but they can always love another person! And I am willing to give us a chance shubman! I feel the comfort and peace which I never felt after he left.
Shubman: never, don't worry, I'd protect you from everything! And we are here for eachother.
You: shubman, promise na?

I said as I looked at him as he held his pinky finger up as I crossed my pinky finger with his as he hugged me.

Shubman:ouch!
You:kya hai, lag jaayega.

I said as I held his hand as I looked at the IV, as I caressed his hand .

You: please meals skip mat karna .
Shubman:nhi karunga.
You: good!
*Smiles*
Shubman:aise hi muskurate raho, bohot acchi lagti ho .
You:haan?
Shubman:haan, waise toh humesha acchi lagti ho ,lekin tumhaari smile , it's like a flower blooming! And it's all going to get better!

I looked at him as his eyes held emotions, I closed my eyes as I then looked at his hand.

You:can I hug you?
Shubman:yes ,you don't need to ask.

I smiled at him as I hugged him , as he caressed my back.
