Tevega's Journal

It's been a long, bloodied road. I can still hear the roars of my enemies—mortal, divine, and everything in between—echoing in my ears. From the day I first spilled blood, I knew I would not be bound by the chains of weakness, like so many others. The stars burned above me, and the gods dared to look down as if they were more than just pawns in my rise. Their gaze felt like a challenge, one I've never been able to turn down.

I was a warrior before I had even fully learned what it meant to be a Saiyan. I remember the pain of growing up, realizing that there were forces far more powerful than we'd ever known. That was what drove me, the constant reminder that our kind was nothing but a tool to be used—by rulers, by gods, by the very cosmos itself.

I made it my purpose to change that. Each planet I conquered, each enemy I left in the dust, all of it fed the beast inside me. Some said I was merciless. I don't argue with that. Ruthlessness was my path. Those who stood against me became reminders that only the strong deserved to stand at the top. Mercy was a weakness I refused to entertain.

Then there was Barassia. My brother, but not of the same father. He always had something different in his heart, something... softer. Despite growing up together, I never saw him as an equal. Barassia was skilled, no doubt, but he didn't have the same fire. He didn't thirst for power the way I did. He tried to stop me once—when I turned my sights toward the gods, to claim their thrones and tear down the illusions of their supremacy. It was the only time we truly clashed.

They called it the Great Split. A battle so fierce it nearly tore the realm apart. Barassia shattered an instrument of chaos I wielded, one meant to break the balance of the heavens. In that moment, as we stood against each other, I realized something. He wasn't just stopping me for the sake of some misplaced morality. He was afraid—afraid of what I would become. He didn't want to see the day where even the gods feared a Saiyan.

But Barassia failed. I rose from that fight more determined than ever. After that, we went our separate ways. I don't know where he ended up, but it doesn't matter. He's out of my path. My eyes are fixed on higher things.

Then came Yaki. I didn't plan for it, but fate doesn't ask for permission. We met long before she rose to the rank of lieutenant. I was already a figure of legend, a name whispered with awe and fear among the Saiyan ranks. Yaki... She was different. Strong, unyielding, and full of fire. She challenged me in ways no one else ever had. And somehow, in the chaos of it all, I found myself tethered to her, if only for a brief moment in time.

The Saiyan encampment on Planet Abora was a place of ruthless ambition. Among the ranks of warriors training under the Aborian military forces, none stood out quite like Yaki, not yet a lieutenant but already showing the ferocity and leadership that would later define her. She trained hard, and her resolve was unmatched, but it was her encounter with Tevega Kairou that changed everything.

Tevega, already a legend, moved through the ranks like a force of nature. His reputation as an ancient Saiyan who had survived countless battles and faced down the gods themselves made him untouchable. Yet, when Yaki met him, there was an undeniable pull between them. It wasn't love at first sight, but something darker, a collision of two powers destined to shape the future of their kind.

They trained together, sparred together, and over time, their bond grew stronger. Eventually, they had two sons: Juko, born first, and Daegon, born a few years later. While Juko's birth brought joy, it wasn't long before the darkness lurking within the halls of Abora's government cast a shadow over their family.

Tevega's reputation as a fierce and ancient warrior only intensified with time, but it was his confrontation with the General Public Speaker, Don Tuslet, that sealed his fate. A dispute over politics and the future of the Saiyan race boiled over into violence, ending with Tevega's fists crushing Tuslet's skull. The murder was swift and brutal, and Tevega disappeared before the dust could even settle.

Tuslet's body was found later in the capital's waste facility, the crime ruled as a suicide—a thin veil for the power struggle raging behind closed doors. The killing sparked an upheaval in the Aborian Parliament, which had long operated in the shadows of Exodus-02's legacy. It wasn't long before the monarch, King Nipotun, announced his resignation. With Tuslet dead and the kingdom thrown into chaos, a man named Ragus rose to power.

Under King Ragus' rule, new laws were established, none more severe than the Exile Protocol. This decree, aimed at weeding out the weak, sent shockwaves through the Saiyan population. Juko, Tevega and Yaki's firstborn, was deemed unworthy under this law. Born with an extraordinarily low power level, Juko was labeled a failure by the new regime and marked for exile.

Tevega's disappearance left Yaki alone to face the consequences. Their second son, Daegon, had already been taken under Tevega's wing, leaving Yaki with Juko, who was now at the mercy of Ragus' ruthless decree. Despite Yaki's strength and her ties to Exodus-02, she received no special treatment. When she lashed out, attempting to retaliate against the government for their decision to exile her son, she was quickly subdued and imprisoned in a facility designed to hold even the strongest Saiyan warriors.

Thus, Yaki was left behind, her son torn from her, while Tevega remained a ghost—his shadow looming large over Abora, a legend in exile, feared and revered but gone nonetheless. The Saiyan race, now bound by the harsh rule of King Ragus, faced a future where only the strongest survived.
