We saw them off, then headed toward the hospital. I knew how mad Nightwish was about to be. When we arrived, Rashel handed me a shirt that she had sitting in the back of her car.

"If you walk in there sporting blood and bullet holes, they're going to call the police. I've done enough fighting for today."

I put the shirt on, then she placed a hat on my head and a cover over the bottom half of my nose and mouth. I looked at her, confused. She put on a face shield similar to the one she had placed on me, then put on her own hat. I realized she was trying to disguise us. Most of the cut on her face had healed, so thankfully it resembled a fading scar instead of an open wound.

We walked up to the glass double doors of the building. They slid open, and I jumped back, ready to fight the demon. Rashel just kept walking. There was a desk not too far from the door that had three women sitting behind it. We approached.

"Hello, how may I help you?" asked one of the ladies, who wore a little, white tag on her shirt that had the name 'Maddy' on it.

I figured it was better to let Rashel do the talking.

"Hello, I need to see Dr. Rachel Warren, please," she told the lady.

"Do you have an appointment?"

"Well, no, but it's kind of important."

"I'm sorry, but Dr. Warren is very busy. She doesn't have time for visitors right now."

"How about you let her know her sister is here? Bet that'll change her mind," I told the lady.

She looked slightly annoyed, but she picked up what I guessed was and older style of cell phone and spoke into it, saying, "I'm sorry to disturb you, Dr. Warren, but you have some visitors at the reception desk that are demanding an audience with you... Yes, ma'am, I did tell them that. She said to tell you it's your sister... Okay, thank you." She hung up and looked at us, reluctantly acknowledging, "She'll be right down. You can have a seat in the waiting room."

"I'll stand, thank you. She won't be long," I told her.

"What are you two idiots doing here?" Nightwish's voice came from behind us just moments later.

She looked completely different from normal. Well, she looked normal! Her eyes were gray and her hair was dark brown. The normal tribal markings on her face were gone, and she was wearing a long, white coat with the name "Dr. Warren" sewn into the top-left corner.

"Well, come on! I haven't got all day—I've got shit to do and people to cut open," she said as she waved for us to follow her.

She led us to a room that had a desk covers in papers and one of those computers, as well as shelves stacked with books. She let us enter first and then closed the door once she was in. She took off her coat and laid it down on the desk. I just stared at the clothing she had on under the coat. She noticed my staring and waved her hands as if to say "what now?"

"Your cloths...they're cute," I told her.

"Yes, indeed they are. Grace is taking a sewing class, so I had her make these scrubs for me. I was conducting brain surgery on a little girl this morning."

"Do you normally wear...scrubs...with a white kitten riding a rainbow unicorn?" I asked, trying not to laugh.

"No," Nightwish said more than a little irritably. "I asked the girl what her favorite animal was, and she told me rainbow-unicorn kittens, so I put together a design for Grace to make, then she made them for me. You never know how surgery is going to go, especially brain or heart surgery. If she passed on the table, I wanted to make sure that one of the last things she saw was something she loved. But anyway, why are you two here?"
