Murder Drones: Business is Business

Chapter 11: We'll meet again

The final blast door opened, revealing the four drones, Uzi, N, V and J. They all walked outside, into the cold, vast expanse of Copper 9.

S.D V:  "So.. where are we headed, Uzi?"

Uzi: "..Well I honestly just wanted to go to Cabin Fever Labs.. check the surrounding area just to find some random items that fell out while the planet was getting ripped apart."

S.D N: "..Alright.. let's.. get going then.." He sighed, clearly tired.

J remained silent, the others opened there wings and flew off, J followed.

S.D J: "..How far is this place?" J said, finally breaking her silence.

Uzi: "..About.. like.. a few minutes, not too far from here to be honest."

J nodded, and looked over to N and V, who were talking, before looking forward again. Soon, the four reached their destination, landing.

Uzi: "..Well this is it.." She sighed. dusting herself off.

S.D N: "..Alright, should we split up into.. teams of two-?"

Uzi: "..Yeah.. alright, should cover enough ground.. N you're with me."

S.D V: "..No Surprise there." She chuckled.

Uzi: "..Shut up-" Uzi had a soft smile, she walked off with N. V looked over to J, smiling.

S.D V: "..Well then, let's get going.." She began walking.

S.D J: "..Yeah, alright.." She followed V.

As the two walked, V looked at J, noticing.. a somewhat sad look on her face.

S.D V: "..What's.. wrong..-?"

S.D J: "..Nothing.. nothing- I'm fine.." 

V picked up a worker leg, and chewed on it.

S.D V: "..Tell me the truth."

S.D J: "..It's Noth-"

V interrupted.

S.D V: "..J.. tell me."

S.D J: "..Fine..-" She sighed. "..It's just.. I don't like this place.. even the mention of it.. it reminds me.. of Tessa..-" That last part was hard to get out.

S.D V: "..O..oh-" V sopped. "..I see.. alright.. I..I'm sorry for asking.."

J shook her head.

S.D J: "..It's fine, really."

S.D V: "..I miss her too.." V admitted, her voice cracking slightly.

J looked at V, a smile forming on her face. The two kept walking, picking up some scrap as they did so.

S.D J: "..Why does Uzi even want to do this-?"

S.D V: "..Honestly, dunno.." The two became silent once again.

S.D J: "..Hey.. you know there are other Disassembly Drones on Copper 9-?"

S.D V: "..Really?"

S.D J: "..Yeah, they.. sorta kidnapped me.. but y'know... since I'm here, I beat them and all.."

S.D V: "..You killed them?"

S.D J: "..Nah, two left.. and the two others.. well I trapped them."

S.D V: "..Ah.. alright.. what would you do if you saw them again?"

S.D J: "..I don't know to be honest.. I mean, I have you three so it should be alright, y'know-?"

S.D V: "..Yeah I get you.." She nodded.

AS the two walked, J noticed something in the snow, freezing.. a sticker, a very familiar sticker.

S.D J: "..I..is that..-" J froze, V looked at her.

S.D V: "..What's wrong..-" As V said this, J tensed up.

S.D J: "..It.. it is..-" Her voice sounded as if she was sad, but.. somewhat hopeful.
