Time passed, and Ashley got better again, with Sadie's help. Both girls visited Jerry at least twice a day, and Sadie worked for the rest of the day on the kitchen island. Ashley offered her several times that she could use her or Jerry's desk, but she insisted on using the kitchen, for whatever reason. She had a podcast that was well-known apparently, even though Ashley had never heard of it. It was an easy thing to work on because she had a few episodes waiting to be edited and cut and she could just do that all day long, the clicking of her keyboard and mouse filling the apartment.
Fortunately, Jerry's injuries weren't as bad as Ashley had thought at first. In his leg, he had a closed, stable fracture, which meant that the skin and tissue weren't damaged or pierced, and the bone fragments were still in the right spot. His right arm's bone was neither fully broken nor displaced, so it took him only a few days to be able to use it fully again. The skin on his other arm would take longer to heal but he said it didn't hurt.
Due to the fracture in his arm, the hospital kept Jerry for a few days longer than normal, ten in total. Ashley was more or less back on track at that point, trying to catch up on videos and streams. Her updating schedule meant four videos a week, three times the unedited VODs of streams on a separate channel, and once something else on her main channel, a challenge or vlog, depending on the week.
She promised Jerry that she would edit the clips and videos he filmed in the hospital (mostly him talking about random things, theorizing, and discussing the weirdest topics alone in the room or sometimes he even got nurses to do it with him) to one longer video. A hospital vlog if you will.
People found it hilarious when it was posted on his channel. Of course, they were still worried about him, but it made them calm down a little as they saw how his mentality stayed the same. To be quite honest, it also helped Ashley over the fact that her best friend and roommate was in the hospital.
She kept contact with Nick, who regularly spent time with Jerry, sometimes staying the night in the hospital. As far as she could judge it from the outside, this really brought them closer. Sometimes she met the triplets in the hospital and went to get something to eat with Matt and Chris while Nick was with Jerry. There was a TV in the room, and she could imagine them watching series like SpongeBob and just being a cute couple.
Finally, after the ten days were over, he got to come back home. After making sure that his arm would hold the pressure, he was given crutches, and Matt drove all five of them to the apartment, where Sadie was already waiting. She was smiling broadly as she welcomed her brother at the door downstairs. In the hospital, he'd already learned how to use the crutches properly, but it was still a slow process to get him to the elevator and into the apartment from there.
Jerry spent most of his time on the couch in the living room, keeping his leg up and trying not to strain his arm too much. The three of them filmed a cooking video where Ashley had her eyes covered with a blindfold, Sadie couldn't say a thing and Jerry could only shout things from the chair they put up next to the kitchen island. It was chaotic, especially because the two siblings never seemed to agree on what exactly they wanted Ashley to do while she wandered off to put salt instead of sugar in the bowl. Despite their similarities, their cooking habits somehow were entirely different.
In the end, they managed to have a decent chocolate cake with frosting. It was way too sweet because Sadie had overheard Jerry telling Ashley to put sugar in the bowl and had made the redhead put more.
She immediately went to editing the video, and the apartment was filled with silence—all three of them scattered in the living room, eating cake and editing. Sadie was working on a new episode of her podcast, Ashley was editing the baking video, and Jerry... He was probably working on the things he'd missed in his time in the hospital.
The atmosphere was calm enough to pass aspeaceful.

Author's note-
> Okay, I'm so sorry guys. This is the literal definition of a filler chapter, I completely forgot that this crap existed. I cut out a massive part of the story recently and didn't remember to fill the space up. I need to write a chapter 39 part two kind of thing. Like a more detailed description of Ashley doing stuff with the triplets, would that make up for this? I thought that was kinda missing anyway when I edited this chapter.
> Also, I'm about to watch the Hell Week video, I'm so fucking excited
