Hello, guys!! Hope you're having a great weekend. Thanks for leaving comments on the last chapter, I was very happy about it.
This one here is a bit longer, and we've got a lot of Jily interaction! We do need them to get closer, eh?
This week I'll probably be posting 'Professor Potter', another translation of mine. Keep your eyes open and remember to leave comments!
"Wonder if she was telling the truth about Fenwick... Even if she was, and even if she isn't interested in him, it's pretty clear that he is interested in her..."
"James! Pay attention!"
James shook his head and looked at Diana who had called him out. The Quaffle Matthew had thrown at him lay on Brenda's hold, who flew twenty metres below him.
Bloody hell.
"Sorry, guys, let's take a break, yeah?" He said. The others agreed and walked to where Indira and Edric waited for them with water.
"Alright, James?" Diana asked, walking with him. Diana had played with him at Puddlemore in his early days on the team after Hogwarts. Today she belonged to Holyhead Harpies, the exclusively female team in the league.
"Yeah, yeah. Just a bit distracted."
"Is something wrong? I haven't seen you this distracted since...well, never," Diana confessed.
Of course James couldn't say that yes, there was something wrong. He was being investigated for a crime he most certainly did not commit. He was under the pressure of winning the World Cup. Besides, Lily...
He sighed. Less than two weeks with the girl and he was feeling seventeen again, getting distracted at the mere thought of her – her red hair, her eyes, the way she had smiled at Fenwick...
James had to shake his head again.
"Girl issues," he finally admitted, which wasn't exactly a lie. They had been very close on the year they played together. Diana raised an eyebrow.
"You? James Potter? What girl wouldn't want our captain, England's hero?" She asked, then narrowed her eyes. "She's taken?"
"She...I don't even know..." James said, clearly frustrated. Diana looked at him intrigued. It wasn't like him to behave like that because of a girl.
"Hey, Prongs. What the bloody hell is going on?"
James and Diana turned to find Sirius, arms crossed and sporting a hard frown.
"Hi, Black. According to James, 'girl issues'."
Sirius raised both eyebrows at his mate, while James ruffled his hair.
"Prongs..." Sirius said warningly.
"I know, Padfoot," James replied.
"Listen, I know that Evans...interrupted you a few days ago, but if we really talk, I think we can..."
"Wait, Evans?" Diana interrupted. "I've heard this name before..."
"From the papers, perhaps?" Sirius pointed to the stands. "That red haired is the Auror that was on the Prophet recently."
"Nah, not from..." Diana started, but interrupted herself with a cry of surprise, "oh! Evans, Lily Evans? The girl who inspired that night on the Leaky Cauldron?" Diana turned to the stands and squinted in the effort to see better. "She seems to be pretty, but I can't see properly from here."
