10:57 PM }} In the dark alley..

Nightmares. Her father's death was a wound that refused to heal and haunted her. She'd grown up loathing herself and consumed by her overwhelming emotions. She hated those dreams, the ones where she saw her father, his face that shows pain, his body stained with blood. She saw his eyes screaming in agony and desperate for help. All she'd done was save herself, hide. her sobs muffled by the thin cloth of her shirt, her helplessness and her shame.

Y/N decided to go downstairs to calm down. The rain was relentless, but she didn't care if she got cold, if her clothes were soaked through the rain. "Havin' nightmares?" A soft voice with a hint of amusement broke through. Y/n turned and her gaze fallen on to a woman with a blonde hair, her face that was both alluring and dangerous. She wore a black dress that clung to her curves, She looked at Y/n with a smirk on her lips and her eyes holding a glowing glint.

Y/N sighed heavily, straightening her back as she tried to shake off the lingering weight of her nightmares. She nodded and her answer was a silent confirmation of the woman's question. The woman exhaling a smoke said "Don't worry about those nightmares... Dollface, They can't hurt or if they can then not physically unless it's the red burnt face demon? What's his name again?" Y/N let out a low chuckle, crossing her arms "Freddy." She answered and the beautiful woman laughed "Ahh.. yes.. Freddy! Rumors spreading about that guy but do ya believe he's real?" she asked, her gaze fixed on Y/N.

"Kinda.." Y/n replied and her voice barely a whisper "Tiffany" the woman said and Y/N tilted her head. The woman gave her a sweet smile "That's my name.. Tiffany Valentine" She had just told her name to a complete stranger, someone she had just met in an alleyway but Y/N didn't know if she should tell her name or not yet.

"That's a beautiful name. It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Tiffany" Y/N's formality and the way she addressed Tiffany caught her off guard, making her laugh "What a gentle-'woman'" she chuckled "No one ever says thar my name is beautiful... not even my lover" Y/N didn't quite catch the last part of her sentence but shrugged it off, she lets out a low chuckle "Some men just dont know how to treat a woman right" she said and her tone laced with a hint of bitterness "Or mostly they're after your body and your beauty" Tiffany stayed silent for a moment, throwing her cigarette to the ground and stepping on it.

Tiffany smirked and her hand resting on her hip, her posed with confidence "So you're telling me I'm beautiful and not 'Hot'?" she asked with a playful tone but Y/N just shook her head "You can be both, but I prefer you being gorgeous or beautiful" she said sincerely, her gaze meeting Tiffany's. Those words spoken genuinely made Tiffany pause. Her eyes widened slightly, she was taken back by Y/N's words, by the tone of her voice, the sincerity behind them. It was heard loud and clear.. Y/N meant what she said.

Tifanny sighed heavily, looking away and crossing her arms "Thank you, Sweet face.." she said with a hint of vulnerability into her voice "I still haven't got your name", "I sadly can't tell you my name just yet.." Y/N replied and her tone is soft but firm. Those words made Tifanny raise a brow, a small smile curling her lips "Oh why's that~? Are you perhaps a secret spy or something?" Tiffany's question earned a chuckle from Y/N "Maybe~" she shrugged, playing along with the game.

""Alright, I'll just call you.. Miss S. short for Miss Secret!" Tiffany said playfully and the two women laughed, a sound that echoed through the alley. They started talking, their conversation flowing easily. Tiffany had been planning to lure this mysterious woman into a trap, to kill her just for the thrill of it. But something shifted. Something about her made her change her mind. Maybe it was a pity or maybe she just wasn't in the mood to kill, not yet. Whatever the reason, the urge to harm, the thrill of the hunt was gone and was replaced by a strange feeling.

"You know.." Tiffany started and her gaze lost in the distance "My mother always told me that when you love someone, you have to let them go" Y/N stayed silent, her attention fully Tiffany and the rain slowly dying down.. "Do you ever love someone.. Miss S?" Tiffany asked and her voice became gentle "Romantically or Platonically?" Tiffany playfully rolled her eyes, tilting head "Love can be both, Silly" she chuckled and Y/N let out a soft sigh "Well I did.." she admitted "But not romantically. I'm always focused on my work and he's.. he's my father." Tiffany nodded "I see.. I respect you, Dollface.. So I won't ask anything further"
