After their breakfast, Inigo excitedly suggested they go out and explore again, and Iris and Sebastian both agreed. "Promesso?" Inigo asked, glancing at Sebastian.

Sebastian chuckled and replied in Italian, "L'ho promesso."

Iris tilted her head in confusion. "Okay... what does that mean? Can I be part of this conversation?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

Inigo and Sebastian exchanged playful smirks, clearly not wanting to share their secret. They shushed each other, enjoying the moment.

"Come on! You can't just leave me out!" Iris laughed, crossing her arms. "I want to know what you two are talking about!"

Finally, Sebastian smiled at her. "Alright, it means I promised him we'd go out again. No pressure, right?" he teased, winking at Inigo.

Inigo giggled, delighted to be in on the fun. "Yeah, we're going to have the best adventure! Right, Dad?"

"Absolutely," Sebastian replied, affectionately ruffling Inigo's hair. "Let's make this a day to remember!"

With Iris laughing and shaking her head, they set off into the lively streets of New York, ready for another adventure, with Inigo leading the way. The sun shone brightly above, and the city buzzed with excitement, promising a day full of possibilities.

As Iris and Inigo finished getting ready to head out, they noticed Sebastian on the phone, his expression serious. He ended the call and walked towards them, a look of concern etched on his face.

"Something wrong?" Iris asked, her instinctive worry kicking in.

Sebastian crossed his arms and let out a deep sigh. "I just received a call from my company. There's an emergency, and they need me to handle it," he replied, his voice heavy with the weight of the news.

"Oh, do you need to leave right now?" Iris asked, her heart sinking at the thought of him having to leave so soon.

"Yeah, I have to go back to Italy," he said, glancing down at the ground for a moment before meeting her gaze again.

Inigo, who had been standing quietly beside Iris, looked up at Sebastian with wide eyes. The moment the words registered, his expression shifted from excitement to disappointment.

His small face fell, and the spark of joy that had been there moments before dimmed. "But... we were going to explore the city together," he said softly, his voice tinged with sadness.

Sebastian knelt down to Inigo's level, trying to reassure him. "I know, buddy. I'm really sorry. We'll have to do it another time, I promise," he said, giving the boy a gentle smile.

Inigo nodded slowly, though the disappointment was still evident in his eyes. "But I wanted to show you the big buildings and the lights," he mumbled, his enthusiasm quickly fading.

Iris felt a pang in her heart, seeing the sadness in her son's face. She placed a comforting hand on Inigo's shoulder. "I know, sweetheart. But we can plan another trip soon, right?"

Sebastian nodded, adding, "And I'll make sure it's even better next time. We'll make some great memories together, I promise." He reached out and tousled Inigo's hair, hoping to lift his spirits.

Inigo managed a small smile, but it didn't quite reach his eyes. "Okay... I guess," he said, though it was clear he was still feeling let down.

With a heavy heart, Iris watched as Sebastian prepared to leave. "Take care of yourself, okay? We'll miss you," she said, her voice softening.

Sebastian smiled at her, his expression warm despite the circumstances. "I'll be back before you know it. Just keep an eye on this little guy for me, alright?"

Inigo nodded, still processing the news, while Iris offered a reassuring smile. They all shared a brief moment of connection before Sebastian turned to leave, the weight of the day hanging heavily on all their shoulders.
