"I can't feel my legs." A sudden panic rushed to Blake's face. I cupped his cheek and fought back the tears telling him,
"Baby, you were struck in the spine. The doctors said it'll be awhile fore you can walk again."
"I'm not ever gonna ride again?"
"Hey no don't say that. I'm gonna do everything in my power to get you on a bull again." Tears rushed to Blake's face as he spoke.
"I-I I'm so sorry Bailey. I love you, and I don't want you to take care of me, your pregnant."
"Blake this is my job. I love you more than anything in the world, and I want you to get better."
Suddenly I heard footsteps enter the room. It was Jess, Mason, My dad, and Blake's parents. They all huddled around us,and Blake's mom grabbed Blake's other hand. My dad walked over to me first to ask if the baby is okay. I shot him back a reassuring nod, and refocused my attention to Blake as my dad put his hands on my shoulders.
"How are you feeling Blake?" Blake's mom said nervously.
"I'm okay mom, except the fact I can't feel my fucking legs.."
"Yes honey,the doctor told us."
Mason being the jokester of it all said, "That pretty badass to threaten your career to save your wife bro. Just maybe pick a different spot to get stabbed maybe?" Jess slapped Mason on the back of the head in which he groaned.
"Thanks man ill get it in mind for next time." Blake shot back in the most sassiest way ever.
After we were discharged from the hospital, Blake still couldn't walk. Every day was the same as of now. We got up I get bigger in my stomach, we go to physical therapy, but today was different because it was the day of the gender reveal. Jess planned it to get some weight of my back. What would I do without her? I changed into a pink dress that had the prettiest ruffles, and fell just above my knees. I helped Blake change into his pink button up and jeans. Can you tell what we are hoping for? The venue Jessica picked was beautiful, and it was nice to have the family together after everything that's been going on. After hour or so, it was finally time. We all gathered around a grabbed canon's.
"On the count of three." Jess spoke out.
"One"
"Two"
"Three!"
Just like that, pink smoke escaped the canon's. I looked at Blake in pure joy, and he shot back the same look. I looked to my dad, but as I turned back around. I saw Blake, but he was standing. He began to walk to me and pick me up and spin me around. My jaw dropped out of utter shock, he's walking, and running. I saw the look on his face of pure joy as he leaned in and kissed me.
"H-How long have you been able to do that?"
"2 months baby!"
"How'd you keep it from me?"
"Thought you'd like the element of surprise"
"I'm so happy for you" A happy tear ran down my face.
"I told you I could do it babe. I did it!"
"You did it"
Blake pulled me in for a tight embrace, and we continued the party until everyone left, and the place was clean.
Whilst doing the dishes, I felt a pair of hands wrap around me. A turned around swiftly getting used to Blake's height. When you tower over someone for five months, it takes a little getting used to.
"I love you Bailey."
"I love you more Blake."
For a moment it felt like the world just stopped, it felt like nothing could beat me and Blake. It all hit me that this was my husband, he was my person, and I would love him till the day that I die.
